    I'll fully agree with you on Pedroia vs. Cano, but I'd have killed last year for Dice k's mediocre start tonight. He's a very solid starter whose breaking stuff will be better in the warm weather. The breaking pitch is his bread and butter and he has a whole assortment of them.

    Pedroia is slow. Earlier in the game, the ESPN announcers were talking about how DP needs to hit .300+ to hold down the second base position in Boston, because of his lack of speed and range. They said he'll need to be an exceptional hitter, because he doesn't have other exceptional attribute, but I am paraphrasing.

    That's just silly. If you don't see the differnce between a player that misses one-third of his team's games ea?h year and a player that plays 95 percent of his team's games, then there isn't much to say. Who knows, maybe one day a pinch hitter will win the MVP.
