    Yankee Coach Bobby Meacham in reading the Yankee line up just declared Robbie Cano as the best second baseman in baseball "by far". Has he noticed the guy in the oppposing dugout.

    The Yankees are the team making moves right now. Maybe they want it more, and the Sox are willing to rest on their laurels.

    With Ellsbury looking helpess at the plate, I think the FO should consider sending him down to work out of his slump and give this kid Van Every a chance. He's a Centerfielder and he has been tearing the cover off the ball. He has 24 Homers to lead the PawSox.

    When his name is announced for his first AB today, what will the crowd do? I'd cheer him. He's a mess from the neck up, but he is great, we need him and he is a two time champion with the hometown.

    It's unbelievable how much big money has changed the game. There was never a question whether Yaz would be in the lineup. At this time of year, he was playing everyday as he approached 40 years old even though he had his wrists, his ankles and other parts taped tight.

    You do have to ask yourself could anyone except Manny create such drama on and off the field? He keeps things from ever getting boring. How will the cowd react to Manny if he plays today?

    I am baffled by this guy. I remember how pathetic the Red Sox offenses were prior to getting Manny. Manny brought them to a new level. Does this guy have a mental problem? His behavior is inexplicable and he goes through these meltdowns every year. How do you get rid of him at this point? He has a no-trade clause. If they had exercised his option, maybe this could have been prevented, and they could have traded him at the end of the season. We don't want to see him in a Yankee uniform. They should do with him what the Yankees did with Sheffield.

    He's much worse than Abreu. Abreu is only afraid of the wall. Nady breaks late and the wrong way on every ball. RF doesn't have a lot of real estate, but there will be lots of open space that he will not be able to cover in LF.

    It's possible that Manny had a case of Joba-itis. He has had trouble with hardthrowers this season. I think he hits Pettitte fairly well. He'll probably be running up to the plate tomorrow.

    They didn't have much of a chance against Joba tonight. He was getting everything over the plate tonight. His offspead was very effective tonight. He got most, if not all, of his k's on the offspeed stuff. He was the sharpest that I have seen him. Beckett was a bulldog and got beat on a cheapie. In the words of the big man, some one is gonna pay.
