  1. Some good Defense by Lowrie and Lowell on back to back plays.
  2. It would be nice to get a hit here to open this up a little bit.
  3. OMG!! A Homer from Varitek! That shocks me even more than the fact that he did n't chase the fastball up and out of the zone.
  4. Coco just looks clueless at the plate, but he manages to walk anyway.
  5. They have to start getting things back on track tonight. What a surprise that Varitek and Ellsbury both have hits. How could we have no runs?
  6. I really am baffled that Ellsbury wasn't running when Pedroia was up. He's a contact hitter that has been hitting at a .400 clip. If Ellsbury got cut down, Pedroia leads off in the 8th. Just stupid game management.
  7. I thought Ellsbury would attempt to steal during Pedroia's AB. If he had been running on the hit, he probably could have scored on the hit.
  8. Garland has them taking terrible hacks at pitches outside the zone.
  9. A late start to the game thread due to some terrorism committed on the site by a former mod. Ellsbury has become an automatic out. He needs to be dropped in the order when Ortiz comes back. Youk should get moved to the 2-hole behind Pedroia.
  10. Mike Sweeney, former batting Champion from KC did not play this weekend. While the Big Hurt wasn't on the A's for the firs series, he was on the team and he played in May, and he put the hurt on the Red Sox. 11. It's closer to the last third than last half.
  12. So is the lineup that he has backing him up.
  13. Wow, Pettitte looks like he has great stuff today... or is it that he is facing a little league team that has Bobby Crosby with his .258 Avg., .314 OBP, and .370 Slg% batting 3rd. Why am I watching this crap. I'll watch the Rays instead.
  14. After today, the Red Sox have 3 games left against the Angels. The Yankees have 10 games left against the Angels.
  15. It could be 2 after today. We are playing on the road where we suck against a team with the best record in the league while the Yankees are playing at home against a little league team. It doesn't change the fact that the Yankees suck this year.
  16. The Yankees will lead the league in stolen bases against, because Posada can't make the throw to second base.
  17. I am surprised that any one is still watching this s*** team. It takes them 12 innings to beat a really s*** team at home. Can anyone other than fantasy league afficionados name even one position player on the A's. What a stinking pile of maure they send out masquerading as a major league baseball team. How many people can even pronounce the name of their lone All Star.
  18. This is the perfect game for Timlin to get some work.
  19. Great! After that ugly inning, we get two outs in a blink of an eye.
  20. This one is over. Getting up from my nap was a bad idea.
