  1. I'm not ripping Drew. He can't help that he is fragile and delicate. I am ripping the FO for paying this guy $70 million/5years when he has a long history of being fragile. Mike Lowell has no history of being fragile. He generally plays 150+ games every year. Drew has never played that much in a single season.
  2. Yankees are jumping up and down on home plate like *******s. Someone needs to put a message on the scoreboard: "You Suck and You have been out of the race for more than a month."
  3. You need to be medicated.
  4. How can you be even the slightest bit concerned about the Yankees?
  5. The Yankees played this game like they were sleep walking. I wonder if they will jump up and down on home plate if ARod brings home the game winner?
  6. If they've settled on the WC, you take Lester out after 5 innings. If you are making a run for the Division, you PH for Cora in that spot. Which is it...Tito?
  7. Injury can't be helped. He also claimed injury in 2006. It would've been a much bigger deal if the team wasn't dead in Sept 2006 and everyone was mailing it in. I never supported Manny for quitting, in 2006 or ever. It just didn't matter in 2006. When he quit, the team was already done.
  8. 2 run homer by Bay makes it 5-3, but Lester doesn't have it today. I hope Terry doesn't push him too hard today.
  9. I thought he had an oblique injury last year, and he got traded this year.
  10. It's not Lester's day. Get him out of there and let him rest up a little. They are going to need him in top form in the playoffs, because he's not going to get a lot of offensive support.
  11. Those were the two biggest games of the year. He should've been there.
  12. The difference Dude is that they didn't chose to do those things. Bay chose to leave the team in the two biggest games of the year.
  13. Cora is playing because he has strong numbers against Halladay or because Casey can't play a day game after a night game?
  14. The Sox can only opt out if he misses games due to his shoulder condition. I think the guy is a great player, but he is fragile. He always has been fragile. He could win the Mr. Glass award. I would much rather have had Abreu, but the FO messed that up. He's a short term commitment and he plays every day. That's too bad about your back, but knowing about your condition I wouldn't sign you either.
  15. It's Bay's birthday. I am surprised that he didn't fly home to spend it with his family.
  16. Not a very imposing lineup for the post season. Red Sox 1. Jacoby Ellsbury, RF 2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 5. Jason Bay, LF 6. Jed Lowrie, 3B 7. Coco Crisp, CF 8. Alex Cora, SS 9. Jason Varitek, C SP -- Jon Lester Blue Jays 1. Marco Scutaro, 2B 2. Jose Bautista, DH 3. Alex Rios, RF 4. Vernon Wells, CF 5. Lyle Overbay, 1B 6. Scott Rolen, 3B 7. Kevin Mench, LF 8. Curtis Thigpen, C 9. John McDonald, SS
  17. I guess he'll continue to average 110 games/season for the duration fo his $70 million Red Sox contract.
  18. The team needs him badly. Have they tried traction at all?
  19. Bay with the leadoff infield hit scores the winning run. Thank goodness it wasn't his day to handle the baby feedings.
