I don't think this game will revive the Rays. IMO Beckett will shut them down tomorrow, and it will be close the rest of the way. Both teams have tough weekend series. If the Sox take 2 of 3 in Tampa, I think they will finish 1st, even though the rays still play the O's and the Tigers in the final week.

Jason freakin Bay! He doesn't shrink from the big spots. Did he hit a slider? It looked like he was sticking with the slider with Youk and Bay and was trying to bury it in the dirt. The second pitch was a fastball for a strike, but I think he went offspeed on the Homer and left it up.

When Brady replaced Bledsoe, people didn't know who he was and they were distressed about losing Bledsoe. Cassell has been around a while, but he should know the system, so I wouldn't give up on the season.

If Lopez gives you a clean inning, you thank God and go to the pen for another pitcher. You can't expect 6 quality out in a big game. Now the table has been set for MDC to let in the 2 inherited runners.

Kazmir is at 108 pitches. He is probably done for the night. Next is Balfour. Ortiz should be getting loose to PH for Bailey.
