    I am a bit baffled that Tito benched Ortiz for all 3 games of this series. Considering the garbage that Seattle has trotted to the mound in a ll three games and the fact that he would have been away from the glare of the Boston media and fans, he might have gotten a few hits.

    I am amazed that Beckett got through 7 innings. It took him 120 pitches. I attribute this outing more to the suckiness of the Seattle offense tahn anything else. BTW without Papi in the lineup, the DH spot is still an automatic out.

    I think they are in a good spot everywhere but the rotation. There are lots of questions in the rotation. We haven't seen 2007 beckett since 2007. Lester finds a way to give up a big inning in every game. Dice K looked like s*** before he was DL'd and even when he is healthy he has trouble getting into the 6th inning. I'm not expecting anything from Smoltz. Wakefield gives me an ulcer, and Bucholz is completely unproven at the ML level.

    Our awesome starting rotation blew up again. They continue to suck. Is anyone still wondering what where they are going to find room for all the great starters when Dice K is activated, the 42 year old Smoltz is activated, and when the AAA dominating Bucholz is brought up?
