  1. IMO Ortiz will be Santana's last batter.
  2. When a guy starts performing at a higher level at age 36 or 37, think PED especially when they start attributing it to his work out ethic, martial arts, etc. When players get older into their mid-30's, they don't get better.
  3. Before the knee injury, Lugo gets to Pagan's ball easily.
  4. Wang 2 innings 2 runs and a ton of base runners.
  5. If the Sox hitters work the count a little bit this inning, it should be Santana's last inning. Once he's out of the game, the advantage shifts back to the Sox.
  6. Wang gives up a tape measure homer to Ibanez -- the second batter he faced since coming off the DL.
  7. 3 ABs and 4 outs for Papi. Santana is a tough match up for him. Tomorrow he should light up Pelfrey.
  8. Dice K has to pick up Pedroia here.
  9. A pitcher has to pick up his fielders. It wasn't like Pujols got the hits to score the runs. He should have been able to get out a couple of scrub hitters.
  10. Varitek should definitely always bat Right Handed. That's his 5th HR in 24 RH ABs.
  11. Cheapie hit by Ellsbury. That's about what you can get off Santana.
  12. Dice K looked crisp that inning

  14. Lester's pitch count is too high. This has been his pattern, and then he implodes in the 4th or 5th inning.
  15. The way for the Red Sox to beat the Rays is by keeping Crawford off the bases. If you let him get on base 3 or 4 times, he will create some runs. Next, the lineup needs to work the count on the Rays starters and get them out of the game by the 6th inning to shift the pitching advantage back to Boston.
  16. I was kidding. Didn't you get that from me calling this piece of s*** "a perfectly fine thread"?
  17. You're right. Just tired from watching too many west coast games this week.
