Jacko is scared to death. The Red Sox just signed two young total studs for 7 and 8 years. The Yankees have 3 starting pitchers, an aging lineup and they are dumpster diving. -
The Yanks are dumpster diving now. They are going to sign Prior.

The signing of Martin could be setting up the movement of Montero in prospect package. Hopefully, the Yanks don't pull off one of their patented moves where they package up a few over-hyped prospects for a real good major leaguer like Greinke. That would suck.

Why do we need to be positive about guys that suck? The only positive thing about Albers is he will hopefully not pitch any innings for the big club.

When I use the term roster filler, I am also referring to the minor league rosters. Someone needs to be the 5th guy out of the pen in Pawtucket and Portland. There is a need for garbage like this. I understand that. But they are still yukky.

After losing out on Lee, the Rangers have decided to go dumpster diving. They will have a tough time returning to the playoffs if they decide to take this road.

If Pettitte retires, the Yankees have 3 starters one of which is Burnett. They are screwed. As for the Phillies, I don't see who will beat a rotation of Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, and Hammels.

Jacko is just so blown away by the fact that the Sox spent $300 million on two young studs that he needs to explain it to himself in a way that he finds acceptable. This is what lots of Sox fans have been doing for years when the Yanks went out and bought the biggest stars. Now, you can see how stupid it looks when Jacko is doing it. That's how stupid many of you looked when you were analyzing the acquisition of Tex, CC and AJ in 2009. There's no minimizing it. It's huge, and the Yankee fans are on the other side for a change. Too freakin bad. -
I'm not sure. I think they wait until Spring Training or the season starts.
