    I had my sights on Santana. As for salary, I don't know if they prorate the league minimum if the player is not in the majors for the entire year. I don't know where you'd get the data for that. Ital, Marcum was going to be my next pick. He could have a big year fully healthy in the NL.

    You like to research the threads to prove me wrong. If you research, you will find numerous instances where I have admitted being wrong about a player or a trade etc. That being said, I'm on a heckuva a run this off season. Don' t worry about your recent slump. I'm confident that you will rebound. We all make some bad calls.

    I guess you don't understand the meaning of "schtick." I don't know if you are familiar with Jack Benny the comedian. He lived until age 80, but as part of his schtick he always maintained that he was only 39. My schtick is that I claim to be always right. Sometimes I claim to be "almost always entirely right." Thank goodness you were not alive to see Jack Benny, because you probably would have researched his birth certificate and run up on stage waving it in his face. I am occasionally wrong. Your sig proves that I was wrong as recent as 2006. Of course that was the year that Theo offered Manny to the Mets for Lastings Milledge, Aaron Heilman and some guy named Petit. Thankfully, the Mets turned it down. 2006 was a tough year to be right.
