    Every hour I check the wires to see if Bloom gets a starting pitcher. By my count, the Red Sox have 4 starters and all major league teams go with a 5 man rotation.

    what would have been stupid would have been holding back the starting pitchers in camp so they were not ready to start the season and digging a huge hole. I disagree with you. They 2020 team with Betts and Price could have contended at least for a Wild Card Spot.

    Yep, as much as I think trading Mookie a year early was a mistake, it would be an even bigger mistake to outbid the field to sign him to a ridiculous long term deal. I just wanted to see Mookie one more year with the rest of the core squad and make a strong run on 2020.
