    I didn't see him take BP, but I talked to people who saw him taking BP and fielding practice.

    JD's ABs have looked awful, but that is normal for him in ST. I watched him take BP a couple of times and he is working on hitting everything to the right side.

    I like McHugh, but his arm woes have been a bit mysterious. I would wait until his throwing program progresses a bit before signing him. In the meantime, he needs to get someone else just to go north with 4. Mata looked good yesterday, but who knows how he will look when he faces full MLB lineups. Hernandez has plus stuff, but he hasn’t proved that he can consistently throw strikes. I watched BP on the back field and saw that LuCroy was raking. I told Dewey that LuCroy had a really good BP and that JD looked awful. It carried over to the game. JD had 3 terrible ABs and LuCroy PH a hard drive of the very top of the monster.

    And I hope that Bloom is looking forward a starting pitcher since the Red Sox only have 3 starters to open the season.

    He did get to leave an impoverished country where the people make $20/month to make millions of dollars with almost no scrutiny. He thinks he died and went to heaven. He should have a shrine to Ben in his house for giving him one of the most absurd contracts in history.

    Maybe I will be wrong, but I am going to remain pissed for a while. I feel cheated out of 1 year of Mookie and a legitimate shot at a title in 2020. I am really pissed that they have thrown away the season preemptively.

    I am an early adopter of the “Verdugo is a Bust” verdict. Hopefully, he proves me wrong. I followed him a bit last year before he got injured and asked around NL fans about him. There wasn’t a lot of enthusiasm about him.
