    If he will be healthy, I like this deal. We are relying on our crack staff of medical crackpots, so I am not confident that we will see much of him in uniform. It could be another John Smoltz fiasco, but cheaper. As for DFA’ing Velasquez, we can probably find 5 or 6 pitchers whose names start with “V” who are better, never mind the rest of the alphabet.

    Throwing him under the bus would be no problem for Henry. It is long shot that he gets fired after one season. I hope that he doesn't get fired after 1 season, because it would mean that 2020 would have to be a catastrophe on every level. Henry is interested in making money, not in being patient waiting for a rebuild. He's 70 years old.
