  1. That's one move that really pissed me off, because he was exactly what the Yankees needed and we needed. They got him from under our noses and the Yankees took off.
  2. Negative glee? I don't think anyone has that except maybe jacko, but he is a Yankee fan. You can't talk. When things get tough, you take off a lot.
  3. It puts me in a much better mood.
  4. I think we can still use him.
  5. Everyday Aceves or Everyday Alfredo?
  6. He'd need to play with bumpers.
  7. Nice snag by Byrd after a late break.
  8. Aces find a way. He did not. No excuses. His whole season thus far has been a string of excuses. He has basically sucked to this point of the season. No space aliens.
  9. It was the space aliens I tell you.
  10. This guy is a puke. We should be making paste out of him. Hopefully, the umpires and space aliens will let Lester do his thing.
  11. A beast from the left and a beast from the right. He scorched that ball. I wasn't sure that it was high enough.
  12. I'd like to see Ciriaco replace Punto.
  13. So what excuses are we using for Lester s***ing on himself tonight: bad umpires, bad fielding, cheap hits, bad luck, space aliens, or George Bush?
  14. The lineup only has 3 elite hitters. If 2 get shut down, runs will be hard to come by. Losing to this puke would seem about right after battling and beating Verlander. Hopefully, Lester doesn't s*** all over himself again.
  15. It is a bit blasphemous, especially since Yaz already had won a triple crown and three batting championships by Nava's age.
  16. Yep, prior to 1967 he did dog it at times, and he heard about it. Part of it had to do with playing meaningless games by June and coming in last place. After 1967, he always played hard. Dick Williams tried to make an example of him in 1969 to light a fire under the team. It didn't work, and Yaz basically told him that he would punch his lights out. After '67, Yaz never dogged it, Williams assertion aside. He was always prepared to play and went to the post every day. No teammate of his will eer say he didn't work and play hard.
  17. Pedroia's pain would pale in comparison to the pain I will experience if Punto plays every day for a month.
