I agree. The FO is full of excuses. They whine about injuries and get their mouthpieces on radio to take up the cause until the fans start drinking the damn Kool Aid. Our offense is where we have had injuries. Yet, we lead the league in runs scored, so the injuries haven't hurt us in that regard. It has been the pitching that has been the problem since day 1. The pitching has not been the victim of injuries. From day 1 it was an obvious problem, but Bobby V and Cherries made one statement after another that they were happy with our pitching. They were either being deliberately misleading or incompetent. Take your pick.
The Yankees have been bitten with the injury bug too. They have had some major injuries, but yet they are chugging along and rolling over the competition. The difference in the organizations is obvious. The Red Sox suffer serious injuries to the outfield and they address the issue with Marlon Byrd, Darnel McDonald, Daniel Nava and other assorted cast offs. Some of them, most notably Nava have done an admirable job. The Yankees address their OF issue by getting Ichiro for no financial cost and little in the way of prospects. One organization is committed to winning. The other is committed to selling bricks and revenue streams.
