Victorino is a pretty good player. He's a huge upgrade over what we have been rolling out there in the last 2 years. He is a tremendous fielder. I have seen him play a lot when he was with the Phillies. He always seemed to hurt the Mets more than any Philly other than Utley. I remember a few years ago against Johan (before the injury) he took Johan deep for a big Grand Slam. I was surprised at two things: 1. The size of the contract, but Cherries doesn't have the time to negotiate the lowest possible price. He has too much work to do. 2. His splits against RHP. Overall, he is a solid addition for RF, and I don't think that it necessarily a precursor to moving Ells.
