  1. Hopefully, it is the former not the latter.
  2. Right. Why isn't it Bailey?
  3. I thought Bailey was named the closer.
  4. At this rate, Tazawa will have 81 appearances.
  5. That's as good an explanation as any I have heard.
  6. He was supposed to be a good offensive player, but he never really developed. His catching skill was nothing special.
  7. I agree but a red Sox fan would have been more likely to be aware that Buchholz was having a very good ST and drafted him earlier.
  8. Minor league roster fillers. Neither of them is good at all.
  9. d'Arnaud was the prize catch of that group and he was stuck behind Arrencebia with nowhere to go.
  10. I wonder if the 2013 Blue Jays have the same motto as the 2012 Red Sox: "Sooner or later we are going to go on a run." They need to get Bobby V to manage them and it would be a replica of the 2012 red Sox.
  11. He's done the job in Fenway too. He has gotten good jumps and he has been positioned well to make up for his lack of speed.
  12. How many teams are in your league? Being available until the 25 th round makes me think there were no Sox fans other than you in the league.
  13. I had read or heard that he was working to improve from the right side of the plate. Thus far, that work has paid off. The biggest surprises for me has been his added power and his adeptness in RF (even in Fenway). He has proved more than adequate in RF.
  14. He is lighting up the board in my Fantasy league. He's beating all the other aces in points.
  15. I saw Bonds hit a 459 foot shot the one time that I went to PacBell. You know it is gone from the point of contact, so you just look to see where it lands. 459 is a damn long impressive shot, and Naps hit 2 in the same game that were longer. I hope he doesn't get sucked into competing in the HR Derby at the All Star break.
  16. Yaz was listed at 6', but he was only 5'11. Nava is about 5'9"
  17. It's May1st, Buehrle will end up with 11-15 wins and 3.75 - 4.24 ERA like he does every year. Josh Johnson's only challenge is staying healthy. It's still early, and our depth options of Aceves, Rubby, Wright and Webster are looking like we only have 1 decent option, so good health is a key. Things could break right and we get no injuries, but that hasn't happened since 2004. This is a great fun run, but a number of you are playing gotcha on May 1st? Seriously? I'll gladly eat your s*** in September if we are still in 1st place. Until then, can't you just enjoy baseball without this s***?
  18. I didn't think he would have the range or the arm to play RF, but he has done the job.
  19. Nava has become quite competent in RF.
  20. What was the distance on that shot?
  21. Wasn't it a back loaded contract?
  22. His numbers are there every year even though he barely k's 100 batters. If he puts up his usual numbers, he's worth it.
