I want to see the smug hypocrite cheater get knocked around a little.
  2. a700hitter
Maybe the Yankee hitters will get exhausted tonight.

I hate this MFer cheater Pettitte.

Unlike 2011, we are not rolling bags of garbage to the mound 3 out of every 5 games. Our rotation (even without Brittle Buchholz) is much stronger than 2011. I will keep us in more games and we will win our fare share of them. What is different from 2011 is that we don't have as big a lead and there is more time left than when the slide started on September 1st 2011. The other difference is that our lineup is healthier.

Tomorrow we get to face Kuroda. He almost never has a bad game.

It's just a horrible story. Someone's young daughter got brutally murdered. The remy's have to live with the guilt and sorrow caused by their son. A baby is left without parents. It's just a horrible mess.

    What a play by Cano!

    I hate his smirking face.

I guess the 7 run rule is in effect.

The Yankee offense had been an embarrassing pop-gun, and Sorian has revived them and Reynolds will help with the HRs too. We could have used a RH hitter to slot in after Ortiz.

We are playing like bums tonight.
  12. a700hitter
    Reynolds kills us.

Doubront has had very good success against the skanks. I hope that continues.

    He's not worth $13 million.

It's convenient to blame the parents and a copout excuse for the kid. He is. Full-fledged adult man. He is fully responsible for his own miserable circumstances. My heart goes out to Remy, because as a father, I know that he must be in terrible pain right now and he must feel helpless.

Bad kids are not always the result of poor parenting. I have seen families that have a couple or three great kids that grow up to solid citizens and one bad kid that is incorrigible. Kids are born with different personalities and we can mold them only to a certain extent. I have known some great people who have been put through hell by their kids problems. Jacko, control of kids is an illusion. I believe that dysfunctional parenting can ruin a child, but I have seen many people emerge from that situation and thrive. I think that it is far more difficult for a good parent to get a bad kid on a good track. Let's not condemn Jerry as a parent. We just don't know.

At the beginning of the season, I had hoped that they would just be competitive. They have been much more than that. After being in first place all season and with the Yankees falling apart, it will be a huge disappointment if we don't win the division. We have won one division in 17 years. The last time that the Yankees fell apart (2008) we let the Rays steal the division from us. I don't want to see that happen again, because just like in 2009 we have to expect the Yankees to roaring back in 2014. If get a 1 game wild card playoff or miss the playoffs entirely, this will be a huge squander. It will leave a sour taste to what has been a surprisingly good season.

David Ortiz will get challenged less and less down the stretch.

    September 2011 Redux?
  20. a700hitter
Opposing pitchers are just not going to let Ortiz beat them with the drop off after him.
  21. a700hitter
I realize that Ortiz is the tying run, but I would rush the mound and tackle my pitcher if he gave Ortiz anything to hit.
  22. a700hitter
Good job getting Peavy, but we need a consistent bat to protect Ortiz or he will see very few pitches to hit down the stretch. The guys behind him are a huge drop off in caliber.
  23. a700hitter
Reynolds wrecks our pitching, and he used to wreck Yankee pitching too.
  24. a700hitter
The Yankees also got Mark Reynolds? They have been getting a lot of HRs since theypicked up Soriano who has been red hot.
  25. a700hitter
Maybe the problem was the players, but a manager that they despised.
