  1. Seeing eye dogs use a harness not a leash.
  2. Yeah, but he couldn't see you watching. Did he play with one of those beeping balls?
  3. Nice outing for Peavy. I think that I can safely say that he may be the greatest blind pitcher in Red Sox history.
  4. Ells stole second on Pedroia's k. They are bringing in a lefty to face Ortiz. I would have put Papi on the open base and gone after Napoli with the righty and not made a pitching change. I hope Papi makes em pay.
  5. Peavy is only at 95 pitches. Send his blind ass out there for the 8th.
  6. Price got out of the jam.
  7. Price has a man on third with 1 out in the 8th inning against the Giants.
  8. Iggy hit a HR tonight for Detroit.
  9. Segura is still the #1 SS in points for the season.
  10. I'll have to check your math, but I do believe that Trout is ahead.
  11. Theo made many many bad decisions that helped drag this team to the bottom of the standings. It's really irrelevant that some people here agreed with some of those moves. Completely meaningless.
  12. It's going to be interesting to see what he has left. He was dominating in his Padre days before the injuries. My recollection is that his slider was his money pitch. Batters would miss it by a foot. Rubby is coming up as an extra bullpen arm. He'll sit in the pen unless there is a low leverage situation where they need an inning. Rubby has been a train wreck lately.
  13. He will not get much this year, because he missed a lot of time.
  14. The kid did the job we needed. I don't think they will hesitate to bring him back for the pen in the near future.
  15. I am really hoping that Bogaerts gets the call soon. Unlike our other prospects, XB seems like a guy who will be a big part of the foundation of the team going forward. I think very highly of Bradley too, but he is a step below XB on the ladder. None of our other prospects come close to XB in future value. On the pitching side, I have the most hope for Owen. There are some other good arms in the system, but they have all hit snags in their development. None of them are "can't miss" type prospects like XB.
  16. I don't see any parallels between 2011 and this season. In 2011 after injury and under performance hit the rotation, we essentially had 3 blackholes in the rotation with Buch down and Lackey and Wake being punching bags. Yes, Buch is down again, and arguably Dempster is becoming a blackhole, but we have found some good stop gap starts from Workman, and unlike 2011 when Theo thought we had enough to get to the post season and essentially did nothing to get reinforcements, Cherries got a legit starter in Peavy to plug into the rotation. Until Buch gets back our only weak spot in the rotation is Dempster. The rest are doing their job and keeping us in games. The starting pitching is much stronger and healthier, so I would not expect things to unravel like 2011. Cherries did what was needed to prevent a spiral. Theo did not and it was a fatal mistake.
  17. You are a disgrace to your own mojo falling asleep on your own gamethread. Keep up the good work.
  18. Stanton is a bigger pipedream than Lee. It's not even worth of discussion until he can take Miam to arb or leave for FA.
  19. I refuse to hate Koji or papelbon. Screw them.
  20. And you have done such a good job of cleansing yourself of negative emotions? At least you admit the hate. Am I free to still like all those guys for the memories they gave me?
  21. LOL!! Let's leave nicknames out of it. If I liked to be called pops, it would be in my custom user title. Are you missing the dissension from SR? LOL!! Don't worry. Someone will start some s*** and muck up a bunch of threads with nonsense. I am in too good a mood to join in when we are playing like this.
  22. Yep, Red Sox fans hope for Uehara to save every game he pitches in. That's what fans of their team do, but you and I know that that doesn't equate to rooting against a former Sox hero, unless he is pitching against us. Are we wrong about that?
  23. Like Jackass is a nickname for a young guy like you?
  24. I am just pointing out that no one has bumped a papelbon thread since April 6th and we have been through 2 closers this year before settling on Koji, who is doing great. The other two guys s*** the bed pretty hard. Add their 7 Blown Saves to the stats and the comparison doesn't look so good. Papelbon's fans have moved on. The haters have not.
