    I always weigh about the moves made by the GM. Giving them a grade is another thing altogether. It's like discussing whether the owners are doing a good job. There are no owners or GM,s on the waiver wire, becoming free agents or available for trades. They are not going anywhere. We are stuck with them. Yes, let's discuss their moves. As for a discussion of their grades, they each get a grade at the end of each season-- the standings. Last year he was the GM of a last place team. There's no sugar coaing that. This year the team is in first place. Tkose are his grades.

    Who cares about rating a gm? They don't have a baseball card, no jerseys with their names. They don't get hits or throw pitches. Why not root for our accountants and marketing people. I understand that they are the best in the business. Who cares.

    I am glad that they made a move. If Wil bombs out, Bogaerts will get his chance. Hopefully, he can reestablish himself. Last night was a good start-- two hits and no k's.

    LOL@ Rodney. He blew a 3-run save to the Dodgers and then he lost the game on a DP comebacker that he threw into the outfield. His throw wasn't even close.

    In case you missed it, Lyon got released by the Red Sox on August 1st. Contreras currently has a 9.00 ERA at Pawtucket.

    I don't think Middlebrooks could be worse and every once in a while, he'll hit a bomb.

    Rubby's fastball went a long way last night. He has been very inconsistent at AAA. Overall, his numbers for the season are not very good. The numbers don't indicate much promise or any encouragement regarding his development. His command is not good at all. I hope that we can get some value for him as part of some package down the road before he loses all value.

    We are playing to win a Division and beyond in 2013. If Bogaerts belongs in the majors and can help us, years of control should not matter.
