  1. You are one cranky guy. Last night you call me out for a mild remark kidding Fred for his "agenda". You gave advice to the whole board and then today you tell a newb that he is ridiuculous and bordeline insane for a sport opinion. I don't even know what to make of you.
  2. LOL! But you are leaving out the context which is very important. My remarks were in response to a personal attack and an harrassing PM. Your remarks were in response to a baseball opinion. There's the difference. Edit: ANd pointing to the perceived bad behavior of others is not a justification for one's own bad behavior.
  3. ^Maybe just a tad contentious and a bit abbrasive, not to mention personal. You disagree with the guy. Most of us do on this issue, but really...
  4. I guess that you must not have seen or you chose to ignore the "jk" in that post. I didn't appreciate your harrassing PM, but all this means is that pictures of crushed skulls and brains aren't far behind. Have a nice day dickwad.
  5. I didn't misunderstand you, but thanks for the clarification. I find the use of the term "bridge year" incongruent if we win the Division or a World Championship. If that is the bridge, I don't want to get off the bridge.
  6. ^ SFF is as optimistic a poster as we have on TS and he thinks it is a bridge year.
  7. If we win the Division for only the 2nd time in 17 years with home field advantage throughout the off season, can we really call it a "bridge year"?
  8. I have concerns about Peavy. The guy always seems to be on the shelf. I am not sure that he can stay on the field down the stretch. Hopefully, there are some other options, because we need a pitcher. Also, has there been any more news on Wilson. If he is going to be useful to any team, he has to sign very soon. He'd need a couple of week rehab stint to build some arm strength and command. There are only 60 games left.
  9. It took too long to figure out the he wasn't injured. It is just ridiculous that he will miss more than 2 months of the season with essentially minor aches and pains.
  10. I hope you know sign language. jk before you get mad
  11. We are not getting Buch back maybe until September. I have concerns that we cannot hold onto first or second place until September.
  12. Dempster. He has pitched out of the pen in his career.
  13. You are hypersensitive lately.
  14. This was also reported:
  15. And don't forget your secret agenda.
  16. I'm not so sure.
  17. If they win tonight, they will have won 10 road games in a row. That will be their longest road streak since they were the Brooklyn Dodgers.
  18. What's the rush!! Buchholz is hoping for 4 or 5 more starts at the end of the season. I think we had better get a starter.
  19. This ARod saga promises to get ugly fast. Juicy material for the rest of us.
  20. There is nothing to be sorted out. It was just a comment. I obviously didn't even remember who had made the comment.
  21. Just the other day, someone tried to make the case that I have been on the bandwagon to reacquire Papelbon from a reactionary GT post of mine. My remark about holding people to GT remarks wasn't directed at you. It was directed at everyone. Why do you take things so personally?
  22. I'm not sure what you mean. Who is this embarrassing to other than AH? What axes?
  23. Drew ruined his opportunity for a big contract.
  24. I was thinking that Workman could be this year's Gabbard. If he has another good start, he will be prime trade bait. They don't need him if Buch will be back in 2 or 3 rotation turns. With Buch coming back, I would like to get a big steady right handed bat to put right behind Ortiz. A couple of BP pieces would be nice too.
  25. I like the reactionary stuff on game threads. That is what watching games is about-- excitement, emotion. No one goes to a game with the a press book to look up stats. They go to yell and scream and cheer and boo. No one should be held to account for what they say in a game thread.
