In response to a post of yours that was critical of Dempster's actions, I simply asked you if he had fallen from hero status for you. That got your panties in a bunch. I have had enough of this for today. Have a nice day. BTW, I am wrong plenty of times -- just not when arguing with you.

    It's a great ballpark. It's just cold as hell there at night games. Check out what people are wearing in the stands. You'd swear it was for a football game in New England.

    This will be a tough thing to live with-- grieving for the girl and guilt about the son. Yeah, this is devastating stuff for the families involved, and there is a baby too.

    Pointless stupidity is never a good thing. Professional teams shouldn't engage in it. This was not about protecting your players or claiming the inside of the plate. It was pure stupidity.

    It made no sense, none, zero, zilch, nada. I haven't heard or read a single plausible explanation for what Dummy Dumpster did last night.

    He's a hero! Seriously, what message was he trying to send and who was he sending it to? I don't think ARod gives a rat's ass if Dumpster doesn't like him.

    Hitting ARod was not an accident. As a strategy move, it made zero sense. Did it cost them the game? Truthfully, we will never know, but we do know that it didn't help prevent losing the game. We do know that it gave Girardi the opportunity to rally his troops and wake up the Yankee team. Did that make the difference? We'll never know, but it didn't help our cause. It clearly got ARod fired up. Would he have hit the HR if he hadn't been plunked? Who knows. The HR fed more positive energy to the Yankees than it would have had it not been for the plunking. It was gratuitously stupid, and in sports and in life, it has been my experience that gratuious stupidity always comes back to bite people.
