  1. We never score for Lackey anymore.
  2. Lots of hard hit balls against Nolasco tonight. Everything is finding a glove. One glaring weakness on the Dodger team is that Ethier is not a CFer
  3. So, your post was admittedly pointless. I guess it was just meant to annoy.
  4. Crawford with 2 hits and 2 SBs against us tonight-- just like when he played for Tampa.
  5. It's mind-blowing that Scully is 86 years old. Next season he will be be coming back for his 65th season. If the Dodgers don't have a statue for him, they should.
  6. Is anyone else listening to the Dodger feed? Scully is masterful and informative.
  7. And this conversation was had when he first came on the site. It was not an issue in this thread until Mr. Snarky prick made it one.
  8. Yep. So? He enjoys being a prick without provocation. I am just telling it like it is.
  9. A's are leading the O's 7-6 in the 5th inning.
  10. MVP just can't resist the urge to be a prick. Pay him no mind. In this case as in most instances, he gets things wrong.
  11. 4 HRs against Kuroda, 7-1 Rays in the 5th inning. I am not rooting for the Rays tonight. They are ahead of us in teh loss column.
  12. Rays with 3 HRs against Kuroda tonight. The Rays are leading 5-1 in the 4th inning.
  13. Loboton with a 3 run HR off Kuroda in the 2nd inning to give the Rays a 3-1 lead.
  14. You are such a dick.
  15. And Archer has also recently returned from the DL.
  16. Cost is cost. Guards are overhead. The taxpayer doesn't get to deduct those salaries. Also, don't you think that the $155,000 per inmate ($167,000 minus $12,000 for individual prisoners) attributable to salaries, benefits and facility maintenance is a little high? I don't know the guard to inmate ratio but even if it was 1 to 1, $155,000 is still way too high. I own a condo in a high rise on a beach and my share of the maintenance is $12,000/ yr and that is considered high. $155, 000 of maintenance attributable to each inmate is outrageous.
  17. And we thought that $60,000/ year per inmate was a lot. This is disgraceful. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/nyc_prisons_gilded_cages_EDFG3OkjCXbAfOhiMD0lAI
  18. Well, I can't change what I like, and it is the most benign of my flaws. LOL!!
  19. Is Buch pitching a rehab game this weekend?
  20. Before All of the PED use hads been exposed, I would watch Bonds and marvel at his plate discipline. Once he was busted as a PED user, I still wondered whether it helped his plate discipline which was so much better than before his PED use. It was explained to me that some stuff does help your vision and it does help your reflexes. An improvement in vision and/or reflexes would help him identify pitches a minute fraction of second earlier and allow him to wait a fraction longer before committing. In a game of inches and fractions of inches, improving by a fraction catapulted a great ballplayer's performance into the performance of an All Time legend. The real measure of Bonds was how he played before he got the big mellon head and the raisen sized testicles, and that was a pretty great ballplayer. He had won 3 MVP's. The melon head Bonds was all fake, -- power and plate discipline-- it was all enhanced. Of all the PED users, Bonds is the one who was certain to go to the HOF if he had not used PEDs. They say it about Clemens, but he had less than 200 wins when he left Boston and the Duke was right-- he was in the twilight of his career before it was revived pharmaceutically. At 200 + wins, his case for HOF would not be as strong as Schill's, because Schill had the post-season legend status.
  21. The biggest tragedy to come out of the PED scandal is that no one from the late 90's on is beyond suspicion. They are all tainted.
  22. My apologies. I am a flawed man. I am not proud to say that I like the fake ones as well as the real ones. LOL!!!
  23. I hope that my Miss America analogy was not offensive to our women readers.
  24. SFF is a great fan and poster who has a positive outlook most of the time for the team, but when his emotions get the better of him, he makes a 180 degree turn. When he gets emotional, he can doom and gloom as much as anyone. That's okay. Being a fan is an emotional roll coaster. At least he sticks around to commiserate when the going gets tough unlike the pink hats who disappear.
