  1. Farrell stated that Buch is still building arm strength. Spring training is 6 weeks long. You would think that would be ample time to build arm strength.
  2. We still don't know what caused the fractured vertebrae a few years back.
  3. That's right. A lot of people were to trade him Wil Myers. The FO made the right call on Lester. The issue with Lester was never his durability as it is with Buchholz. Personally, if Buch can give us 180 innings this year with good results, I would be tempted to sell high on him due to the durability issue. It will not be an easy call for the FO.
  4. Bells gave a good honest answer. Who knows? I don't. The FO should, but the sarcastic class will certainly use this thread as material even though they take no position at all on the issue. 20- 20 hindsight provides for the best sarcasm.
  5. Doubs was very disappointing tonight. As usual, the 7 run rule was in effect for the brain dead managerial class.
  6. It will be nice to have him back in the lineup.
  7. And if you keep the mojo going, there will continue to be no negativity, unless someone goads Fred with phony rumors of Stephen Drew signing with us.
  8. A game thread with no negativity. Wow! Da ya think beating the Yanks had anything to do with that? Go figure. If they play good ball, there is nothing bad to say.
  9. Did I hear correctly that Tanaka said in an interview that it would be possible to go 24-0in MLB?
  10. In the cold weather, there isn't enough sweat. Most pitchers who commented yesterday said that they put it inside the belt buckle out of sight. Guy is just a dope.
  11. I was right about the first part of this. The second part was a little bit off. Pineda didn't have a dead arm. He was brain dead instead. LOL!
  12. Jeter has nothing on his throws tonight.
  13. Maybe Holt will be 2014's version of 2013 Nava.
  14. 10 minutes is a great commute. I am 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 HRs each way. My daughters group opted to have off every other Friday instead of a half day every Friday.
  15. Lackey was dealing tonight.
  16. 7 am is an early start but doable if the commute isn't too long. Having every other Friday off is nice. My daughter has that arrangement in the summer.
  17. Great outing by Lackey. Keeping Ellsbury off the bases is the key to beating the Skanks. I'd go right to the pen in the 8th.
  18. What time do you start work?
  19. Lackey has been very sharp tonight.
  20. That pine tar thing was too funny. I can't believe that he had it in such an obvious place. Farrell and Pedey looked like they were talking about it in the dugout before Farrell came out. Jeter looked like he could barely contain laughter when the ump came to the mound. He had such a big gob of goo i=on his neck. Plus, there was so much attention to the issue in his last start against us. What a dope. Gardner may be a good LFer, but he has played everything in RF tonight like a hand grenade. He has looked awful out there. A.J. with a walk tonight. LOL!!
  21. The wind blew that back in.
  22. Leadoff triple for us tonight!
  23. The key to beating the Skanks is keeping Ells off the bases. Good job in the first inning by Lackey.
  24. That OF would have some awesome range.
