Will the weather cooperate to get in this game?

    What position(s) do you need/want?

It's games like this that made me give up betting on baseball. On paper, this is a lock bet.

Bedard vs. Lackey 7:05 The 2014 Red Sox need to start playing consistently well. They are struggling to get to .500, playing sub par ball in many of their victories as well as in their defeats. They have just not played consistently well at this juncture. The defense has been poor and the offense has sputtered from the opening bell. Hopefully, they can turn things around on this homestand. I wish Johnny Pesky was still around to work with Bogaerts on his lateral movement the way he worked with Nomar when he was a rookie. The kid needs a mentor to teach him the position. The tools are there. He needs a one on one crash course from a former SS.

Left-side IF D has not been good this season.

No Ortiz. No Victorino. No offense.
  7. a700hitter
Not a vintage Koji outing. The game ended on a ball that was drilled.

    2 down. 1 to go.

What network is carrying the Yankee game today? YES is airing women soccer. I don't see them listed on Extra Innings. They are in the 6th inning against the Halos.

lol@ AJ hitting a bomb for a Grand Salami his last time up and a 6 foot dribbler this time up.

A lot of base runners allowed by Buch so far and his pitch count is pretty high.
  12. a700hitter
It looked like a missed sign on a hit and run.

Thank goodness Bradley got a good jump and can cover a lot of ground. That ball was headed for the gap and the wall.

Buch can't stand having a lead? What is with him?

    Trash barrel ends the inning.

I prefer the HR pitcher to the walk pitcher. LOL!!

The 8 walk rule in effect for Gibbons today.
  18. a700hitter
    8 walks, finally a run.

    Sizemore swinging 2-0. Shakes head.

What the hell is Victorino doing. LOL!!
  21. a700hitter
7 walks and counting, but no runs.
  22. a700hitter
6 walks in the 3 rd inning. We should be piling up runs.
  23. a700hitter
And that was the only thing Harris could do when he was with us. LOL!!

When Buch is going good, he gets a lot of ground balls. Finally, a ground ball, and the garbage can Herrera took his sweet time and Reyes gets a hit, unless it gets reversed. It looks like he was out. What the heck was Herrera waiting for.
  25. a700hitter
Herrera is really reminding me of Willie Harris. Like Harris, I don't think it will be too long before he is DFA'd.
