  1. Lackey was dealing tonight.
  2. 7 am is an early start but doable if the commute isn't too long. Having every other Friday off is nice. My daughter has that arrangement in the summer.
  3. Great outing by Lackey. Keeping Ellsbury off the bases is the key to beating the Skanks. I'd go right to the pen in the 8th.
  4. What time do you start work?
  5. Lackey has been very sharp tonight.
  6. That pine tar thing was too funny. I can't believe that he had it in such an obvious place. Farrell and Pedey looked like they were talking about it in the dugout before Farrell came out. Jeter looked like he could barely contain laughter when the ump came to the mound. He had such a big gob of goo i=on his neck. Plus, there was so much attention to the issue in his last start against us. What a dope. Gardner may be a good LFer, but he has played everything in RF tonight like a hand grenade. He has looked awful out there. A.J. with a walk tonight. LOL!!
  7. The wind blew that back in.
  8. Leadoff triple for us tonight!
  9. The key to beating the Skanks is keeping Ells off the bases. Good job in the first inning by Lackey.
  10. That OF would have some awesome range.
  11. Sarcasm and ridicule can be a real pisser except for the targets of that so-called humor. None of it is good natured.
  12. Back then it was a special treat to see players from the other league. There was no interleague play and no MLB extra innings package or ESPN. Gibson may have been the most intimidating pitcher that I have seen. Brock was a demon on the bases. He could steal at will. I think he had 7 SB s in that series. We couldn't keep him off the bases. Spud, don't forget that from 2007 to 2013 we got to watch a baserunner who was almost as exciting as Brock. That was a real treat. This guy Billy Hamilton is in a class of his own on the bases. He is exciting to watch.
  13. If he isn't getting on base at a rate above replacement level, he has no other tools to keep him in the majors.
  14. I fixed it for you Spud.
  15. But along with that comes a heavy dose of insults and sarcasm directed at other posters. My ignore feature will spare me.
  16. But sarcastically mocking other posters is so much fun.
  17. They didn't call you a dick. I did.
  18. I think Lackey had a bit of a dead arm his last couple of starts. The last time out against the Skanks he had a case of porch-itis. He'll rebound tonight and Pineda is due for a dead arm game.
  19. Bring the positive mojo. Keep Ells off the bases.
  20. I agree. Cole instigated the whole thing after he got owned. I have no problem with Gomez. He plays his own style and doesn't apologize or back down.
  21. RSFL, there wasn't a single poster making the argument that User stated. He's just ridiculous.
  22. Ells will be with them for 7 years. I am not going to close the door on them for the next 7 seasons.
  23. On paper, the pitching matchups may not favor us, but I like our chances the next 2 nights. Also, would someone go get Victorino and bring him to Fenway tonight so he will be there for tomorrow night's game.
  24. I don't care if Bradley becomes the next DiMaggio. It bothers me whe one of our stars ends up with the Yankees, and I don't care that the FO was correct for passing on Ells from a financial standpoint. That business aspect doesn't comfort me when I am watching him run all over the bases against us and making running catches. Admittedly, it is an emotional thing, but that's how I feel about losing one of ours to the Skanks. If he can't run in 3 years I will still be upset that he played for them, especially if he helps them win a Championship. So, people can point to all the metrics they want. He's a great player that came up through our system and helped us win 2 Championships, and I never in my long history saw a Sox player run like that and cause so much excitement on the base paths. Now, he is with my hated enemy, and it bothers me.
