I think right now, their outfield is worse. Miguel Cairo has no idea how to play LF, and Damon has no range left to play CF, let alone he has a s***** arm. Melky's a below average OF also.
Lowell should make it, but E-rod will probably get all the votes to play 3rd. Theres also Hank Blalock, Troy Glaus, Eric Chavez, Melvin Mora and Joe Crede all having pretty good years.
Manny probably will get in, but wont deserve it as theres alot of OF playing better than he is.
What about the possibility Timlin makes it as a set-up guy? Didn't Gordon and Duscheser make it last year?
DL--Sturtze, Matsui, Sheffield, Crosby, Pavano, Dotel
Playing Injured--Damon, Giambi, Posada, Bernie, Farnsworth
Struggling--Rivera, R Johnson
yes indeed, you are dropping like flies.
its close, but id take Zumya and Verlander. Unlike Hansen and Papelbon, Zumya and Verlander have both pitched good this year. Papelbon's obviously pitched great this year, but hansen has yet to pitch in the mlb so far. Verlander and Zumya also are younger and have more upside potential.
good point that i havn't heard yet. Papelbon absolutely should be and will be in the All-Star game. He might be the sox only representative, unless Lowell and Ortiz get in.
DL--Sturtze, Matsui, Sheffield, Crosby, Pavano, Dotel
Playing Injured--Damon, Giambi, Posada (may go on the DL)
Struggling--Rivera, R Johnson, Bernie
i wouldnt be at all suprised if Johnson's injured and not telling anyone about it. Rivera just hasn't been hes usually dominant self.
