I am with you man - hoping nothing major. Easy for my decision - Youk back at third. Snow at first. Probably like others - I thought this scenario and thought of the lost offense. Defense is a relative wash, with Youk playing solid for the most part, and expect the same from Snow. I then thought of Jay Payton from last year. Just like Snow, Payton wanted out for more playing time. Seemed to me, a few of our '05 outfielders went down within a few weeks of Payton's "demands". Granted, Snows contract made him rethink his stance, or lack thereof. Payton got what he wanted. But. Youk at third makes me shake my head in a good way - nice option to have. Obviously the same bat with Youk. He has to be feeling pretty confident right now. Can Snow gonna be the offensive man for a few weeks? I friggin hope so.

since all y'all are a lot more savy at the numbers - what is the difference - by average - the number of pitches Youk sees v. Damon? As far as I knew, from stats last year and beyond - Damon was among the league leaders in pitches per at bat. Youk this year has to be up there as well. And, going off on a tangent, Damon has 13SB? My point: Has the amount of pitches per at bat replaced the idea importance of a walk-to-(potentially)-a-stolen base for the leadoff hitter? (OBP the obvious leader)

thanks man - one of my jobs is bartending - so I will pass off some the stats/ideas I find here, to my customers, as my own - the demand for me to know about the Sox is oddly demanding.
