  1. Baseball Analyists top 75 prospects before the year started... Zumya was 23 Papelbon was 22 Lester was 14 Verlander was 13 Hansen was 50
  2. i agree with this almost exactly, but i have never even heard of Bert Blyleven and id switch Pedro and Maddux
  3. you do it tommorow and if we win, do it tuesday. But i want Clements start.
  4. For all of those who are going to reply "Lesters not ready yet"... When do we actually know when a guy is ready for the bigs? Only way to find out is to give him an oppurtunity to prove himself. More and more teams are bringing up their young guys under 23 and alot of them have been successful. Think about all the good young pitchers in the game. This many more today than their used to be. That being said, most of the young guys pitching right now, weren't considered to be as good as a prospect as Lester is. http://baseballanalysts.com/archives/2006/01/2006_wtny_75_25.php Lester is 14th on the list and Verlander, whos having a great season for DET is 13th. He should be given an oppurtunity this year and if he sucks, send him back down to AAA.
  5. I think if Wells screws up again, Lester should get a shot. He struggled at first in AAA, but now has his ERA down to 3.34. Hes got 35 K's and 13 BB in 8 games started which isnt to bad either.
  6. Cavs need to sign Jason Terry or Al Harrington in the offseason.
  7. Anyone else see Scottie Pippen say that he'd take Lebron over Jordan?
  8. their aren't to many teams looking for a 1st baseman, but here are a few possibilities Will Ohman or Scott Eyre from the Cubs (maybe Jerry Hairston Jr.) Rheal Chormier or Aaron Fultz from the Phils and heres an interesting one, Alan Embree from the Padres
  9. haha, ESPN has Gonzalez on the Sox roster http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=4398
  10. f*** DETROIT!!! The Cavs need to bring someone in to help take all the workload of Lebron. They though Hughes would, but his been a dissapointment. The cavs battled all series and i give them mucho credit, since many people picked them to lose in 4-5 games.
  11. whatever happened to Juan-Gon after the sox decided not to pick him up?
  12. thats what i would prefer in a trade with Snow, but if theres no one available, id look into a late-inning pinch runner to take over for Harris
  13. Snow is useless with Youk playing so well. Trade him and bring up Choi as a pinch-hitter. Trade Snow for a lefty reliever or late-inning pinch runner
  14. agreed, his one and only purpose on the team is to be a good late-inning pinch runner, which he cant even do. He cant hit, steal bases and is average defensively. they should call up Trent Durrington whos 9 for 11 in stolen base attempts in Pawtucket. And like Harris, he can play every position. He doesnt have a horrendous bat either
  15. Ortiz will pinch hit, IF CORA KEEPS THE INNING ALIVE as in hed pinch hit for the pitchers spot due up next nevermind Cora sucks anyway
  16. Ortiz will pinch hit if Cora can keep the inning alive good AB by Snow
  17. and its a NL game, where there are alot more substitutions than in an AL game.
  18. Mohr keeping the inning alive...
  19. back to the game, why is mirabelli pinch hitting for Manny?
  20. Trot starting the 7 run comeback
  21. whatever it takes for the Sox to win, do it.
  22. this could get ugly, Seanez pitching with 2 runners on, 1 out and Burell/Howard coming up.
  23. well atleast its good to see that Seanez is alive. He hasnt pitched in a while
