  1. I'll ignore the little snide remark about the sponge bath since you usually can't resist I'm not accussing him of doing it on purpose, I think he would have pursued Red Sox leads if they came to him, but I do think that, on a subconcious level, he was not as aggressive as he could have been when it came to the Sox. I am not happy with the perception this incomplete list will create because I doubt MLB will ever release another report like this.
  2. actually no. I'm not the only one who felt this way about the inappropriate hiring of Mitchell to conduct the investigation. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3142651
  3. no my mind wasn't made up at all...I was looking forward to this coming out because I actually have never had a problem with condemning Yankees who took steroids. I think anyone who took steroids should be banned, I don't care if they wearing the stripes or the red skirts (i keed i keed). I guess it's because in my mind, and I fear in a lot of other fan's mind, this Mitchell report is the final and definitive list of everyone who cheated the game. Now I know thats not logical ORS but I think that's what the perception is. This will be the only report from MLB on the subject unless it decides to spend another $20M. So the perception form here on out is that the Yankees promnent players were cheaters and that the Red Sox organization was clean as a whistle excpet for some fringe minor leaguers. Perhaps that's the truth, perhaps not. If it was anyone else who had conducted this investigation, I would not have a problem with it. I know my team isn't perfect. george Mitchell's connection the Sox was not an issue for me until I saw the list.
  4. I actually am not disputing the Yankees names. I have no doubt that they were probably on the juice except for Andy. What I am annoyed about and I said in my previous post was that I am not certain that Mr. Mitchell spent that much time focusing on his own backyard because of his connection to the Sox.
  5. nice job RSN Mitchell
  6. don't worry, he had conveniently already left the Rd Sox by the time he started juicing
  7. I think the fact that he protected Kapler is just astounding. this report is an absolute joke and huge letdown
  8. Red Sox Players so far SPinelli Crawfor Manny Alexander Mo Vaughn and a bunch of other minor leaguers this is a joke
  9. are there any current Red Sox players on here at all? wow no Kapler either.
  10. he's certainly not going out of his way to protect Yankee players
  11. holy crap! look at this list of testicular cancer survivors and tell me the common denominator Mike Gallego Mike Lowell John Kruk Lance Armstrong I know Kruk might not look like it, but the guy has been VERY VERY hard on anyone who suspects that there is doping going on in baseball. plus steroids was always treated like Mephs, not necessarily to build up your muscle mass (although that was also a factor)
  12. ugh...I need to go take a dump after reading this. WEEI say anything about current Sox players besides Varitek?
  13. 1) I hope A-Rod is on the report and I hope that paradise is misinformed aobut the contract 2) I odn't understand why he couldnt get the exempton, wasn't he missing a testicle at the time?
  14. #!@$!@!$!@$
  15. just saw that Jason Varitek's name popped up, as did Andy Petite
  16. i'm a little suspicious of Griffey myself. the injuries he's had makes me wonder.
  17. I'm pretty sure that there won't be any present prominent Sox named. My guess is Nomar, Trot, Kapler, Derek Lowe, and Todd Walker.
  18. man this is gonna be a dark day in baseball. I actually would feel pretty sad if Ortiz was on that list. I hate the guy but i seriously absolute respect his game. as for Roger, eh i actually dont care now if petite was on there... please let ARod be on that list so that Hank can see the light and not sign off on that $275M mistake.
  19. Bill, I love how much work you put into these things but you've got to take a class on editing and learning how to say more with less.
  20. ah in that case i agree with you. the only way i see him not perfoming as well is if he gets a nagging injury of some sort (which judging by the way he plays, he's due for a few)
  21. i think that's his point.
  22. you odn't think there will be an adjustment period playing underneath that white ceiling?
