    I find it astounding that he had more HRs during his rookie year at age 23 than from age 24-31.

    FAIL. Just admit it, Ortiz. You've got an entire fanbase that is just BEGGING to forgive you for anything you've done to help the Sox win their firsat championship in 86 years. Unless you pulled an Urbina in a steroid rage situation, they will forgive you. All you gotta do is admit it and MOVE ON.

    My point about steroids test coming out and actually helping Ortiz because it takes the weight off in the Ortiz thread has been proven by Ortiz this afternoon. I'm pretty certain that he's been feeling the strain since A-Rod's name got released and he painted himself in a corner with his comments about suspending users for a whole season. I'm sure Ortiz was very aware that since ARods name got released, then it was very likely that he could be next. I'm positive that that knowledge was messing with his head and affected his performance on the field.

    Hmm, i did not know that about Alderson. Still, I can't help but remember that this is the same guy who traded Liriano, Bonser and Nathan for a rental of A.J. Priezynski.

    I have my suspicions on ALL Scott Boras clients. They're the ultimate mercenaries whose sole purpose in playing baseball is to make money (and yes I know I'm using hyperbole, sue me). If steroids can help them increase their salaries, why the hell wouldn't Boras be on their ass everyday telling them to use it?

    I would be absolutely shocked if Schilling showed up on the list. It would be like finding out that John Kruk was using.

    Actually I think Tek's name has been mentioned by several Sox fans in the past as someone who could possibly be on the juice. Agreed on Mo and Jetes, it would be pretty devastating for me if one of their names showed up on the list.

    I'm good, my former employer blocked talksox.com after it showed up as one fo the top 10 websites in terms of click traffic for the New York office. Since I was recently let go by them, I now am no longer bound by their rules Agreed with you on the response, hopefully he does not go the Bonds or Clemens routine. Admit it and move on. Maybe it will even help him with his hitting at this point. Could it be possible that this things been weighing on his mind lately, thus affecting his performance?

    Does Ortiz voluntarily take himself out for the next 100 games as per his prior statements regarding punishment for steroid usage? Something tells me that Ortiz sitting out is not as much of a heartache as it would have been in prior years.

    I actually feel sad for the game. Ortiz is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable faces in the game. Maybe it helped him hit a few more HRs but his big hits against my Yanks have been a lot of doubles and singles. I dunno, I suppose I should feel some sort of vindication since I always suspected him but it isn't a good day for baseball. They need to just release this list and get it over with and baseball fans better hope that Pujols doesn't show up on that list.
