  1. Good move. When you take a look at the other dugout and see what 14M buys you these days, you can only view this as a good move. one note, they really gotta sit him down and talk to him about him loafing it in the field. Also, I don't buy the argument that he's a 2nd half player. I think he could be a lot better in the first half but that mentally he just doesn't care about playing till June.
  2. Reading the responses on this thread has given me a much more healthy respect for SF Giants fans.
  3. I highly doubt every single team does it. I'm sure the good people of San Francisco thinks that every single MLB player is on steroids also. On another note...more charges levied against the Pats in conneciton with Spygate. Apparently there was a second cameraman operating on the grassy knoll. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/articles/2007/09/17/case_might_not_be_closed/
  4. 4-11?? what the hell's wrong with me.
  5. What I love best about Dice losing against us all the time is that he always manages to plunk A-Rod on every single start against us. poetic justice indeed.
  6. Ian Kennedy has impressed me the most so far. He just "looks" like a veteran out there.
  7. its unfriggincanny how much even his mannerisms look like Moose
  8. I read it was confiscated at halftime when he tried to enter the Pats locker room.
  9. Tek is being shortsighted, look at what that booing did to Arod in '07. If you cheer Drew, he'll think it's ok and always give you piss poor production. Maybe if you keep booing him, JD will get the hint and reward you with a .300/30/120 season next year. tough love baby
  10. good piece of justification there. I'd do the same if it was my Giants.
  11. wow, just pathetic. Only 400 people showed up for the game... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/12/AR2007091202444.html
  12. good list. I was laughing my ass off when Thomas was talking about how steroids is bad. I mean, have yiou seen the guy?????
  13. That reminds me. There was this infielder in Toronto a few years ago who hit a 420ft blast to dead center in the then Skydome off a El Duque pitch down and away and definetely out of the strike zone. I remembered thinking at the time, this ain't natural. It might have been Hudson, but I'm not certain. I just remembered thinking that I couldn't beleive what I just saw. Why do I not suspect A-Rod? It's because with all the work done by journalists these days, noone has ever really implied or heard any rumors that A-Rod was jucing or juiced in the past. I go by the wehre theres smoke, there's fire, and for whatever reason the media hasn't gotten any smoke from A-Rod, and you know they would LOVE to get some.
  14. the Giants play a night game that day actually, and if that still isn't enough time, I'm positive that ESPN wouldn't mind showing another MNF doubleheader with probably the best rivalry in the NFL right now in primetime.
  15. Just because it's happening all over the place (allegedly) doesn't mean it's ok to do it. You can't go by that kind of logic.
  16. I rarely see A-Rod hit a tape measure HR, and his follow through is one handed, but both hands are on the bat when he's swinging.
  17. I still don't know why they had to do that. The pats got more than enough weapons to kick the Jet's asses. This is like one of those Archie comics where Reggie, who already has all the advantages, tries to sabotage Archie even more and winds up with egg on his face at the end.
  18. shrug, don't cheat next time.
