ugh aint that the truth. I think it would be better to just dust Ortiz or IBB him if he's in a spot that could hurt us late in the game, rather than waste a perfectly good roster spot on a specialist who aint that special

btw why the hell do we have Mike Myers on the team, the guy is completely worthless. He'll pitch at most 30 innings this year, if even. what a waste of a roster spot

man my offense is killing me. My pitching actually is doing semi-decent, but my offense is totaly taking a huge dump. Furcal is a warm weather guy so he sint doing anything till May at least, Soriano ugh, Rolen finally started hitting, sigh...I thought my pitching would be the issue.

I dont think the problem is Joe Torre, the problem is the makeup of the roster isn't reallys suited for a guy like Torre anymore. Torre isn't the type to light a fire under someone's ass, and he didnt need to when we had Tino, Paulie, and Scotty around who didn't need anyone to give them a jolt. Unfortunately, those guys are no longer here and Torre's strength as a quiet but effective manager doesn't work so well anymore. I love Joe, I think he's a great manager and deserving of a monument in Yankee stadium and in the HOF as a coach, but the current makeup of the roster just doesn't suit him, it's a mismatch. Right now, probably someone like Zimmer would be a better coach, if only to wake up our guys from their seemingly catatonic daydream.

and Red Sox fans don't overreact to things? =) Bernie got curtain calls everytime last year because we ALL thought he was retiring. It was our way of showing him love. In fact if ARod wants to be loved, he should look at how the fans rewarded Bernie last year for all his years of success and being able to fight through the boos that followed him early on in his career.

lol that's messed up. anyway, if he does well, he gets cheered, if he messes up, he gets booed. thats how life is, I don't see red Sox fans cheering when Julian tavarez blows a lead or faisl to put out the fire.

Wasn't really sure where to put this. I'm calling out the Sox fans on the board who think their team will finish the regular season in higher place than the Yanks. I am confident the Yankees will take first place again. all contestants who enter agree that if their team finishes lower than the other, then they will use an avatar selected by those on the other side. We had a similar contest last year, and it was pretty fun with some of the avatars, so let's do it again this year =)

for santanna and halladay, i think you'd have to be proactive and find a team who has weak pitching but overloaded on hitting. Santana is a 1st round pick and you shouldn't trade him for anyone not named Soriano, ARod, Puhols or Ryan Howard.
