two successful outings in a row seems to indicate that all is well with Moose again. Rather than pushing him out there for those missed outings and forcing him to try ot "work things out" the rest did him much better.

I tend to go with the notion that if you're gonna tax teams for spending too much, you should also tax teams for spending too little. It's simplistic and I'm sure many detaisl would have to be ironed out, but I dont think any fan would be against a minimum payroll.

well said. I woulda been bitter as hell if we had lost on a Ortiz hit. as it is, it was a great game for me to watch cuz we won. I'm going to assume something was wrong with Papelbon as I don't think I've ever seen him with such flat pitches.

ah I see...well about the Yankee fans that I do know in real life and when I goto the stadium, I really don't hear the "everyone does it" argument except from a couple of people. I think the Yankee fans on this board are also pretty objective when discussing the Balco boys. the newspaper are also pretty objective about it. I won't say the NYYfans or YES forums are the same because I'm not there but my exposure to Yankee fans has seen a pretty objective outlook on the steroids issue and largely free of the "everyone does it" argument. I don't believe the majority of players ar eon steroids, but you're right in that the Grimsley and Albany cases does tend to add to that perception. Peter King estimated that there are about 10 teams actually doing the taping thing. I think the other 20 are probably pretending they do it to mess with the opponent.

You can check my posts. I have never let up on ripping Giambi and Sheff for the steroids usage. I would never excuse anyone for steroids abuse simply because they wearing the stripes.
