  1. A lot of runs will be scored in this one. If Beckett picks up where he left off with this team last year, the Yankees will have their fair share of them.
  2. Mariano is starting to look a bit foolish for all that 'respect' talk prior to the season.
  3. If he asks for an extension, I hope Steinbrenner makes him go take a long ride with Steve Swindel. Could someone tell this guy that Vizciano does not literally have a rubber arm? He gave up 4 runs on Thursday, maybe that's a sign that he should get a day or two off. Honestly, yesterday's game was probably one of the worst managing jobs I have ever seen in all my years of watching baseball. I wouldn't be shocked, given his work in April, to see Joe not even get to finish the year.
  4. A Rod... ...what more can be said at this point?
  5. I'm going to be missing the game. I'm hoping to get home in time for the YES replay.
  6. ...either am I.
  7. This offense is just really amazing. They destroyed two pretty good pitchers in the first two games and with one out left in the game today score 6 runs to win. It's a nice little momentum booster as the Yankees head into what should be a tough series.
  8. Wow...just wow....
  9. The wind is already playing a role in today's game.
  10. Hughes struggled initially when called up to AA, then went on to basically destroy the league. So don't get your hopes up just yet.
  11. The Yankees might want to make him an offer at this point...:dunno:
  12. I love the commentary that goes with the clip. "HERE COME THE PIZZA!" "Highly unnecessary!" "And of course he's been asked to leave the ballgame for wasting a good piece of pizza..." Provided a much needed laugh.
  13. April is generally the only time in the season when Red Sox fans can celebrate, so I won't bother trying to argue with you.
  14. I know...
  15. Jeter is trying to replace Palmeiro as the greatest gold glove injustice in recent history... ...wonder how many more it takes before people realize we have another pretty good shortstop on the team.
  16. This guy needs to be traded. We could use a better back up catcher, though the Yankees would have to package him with someone else for that.
  17. He's going to the DL, along with Mussina. He can say goodbye to whatever good will he built up in Minnesota. Loser (that's one of the nicest things I could come up to describe him as right now.)
  18. Yeah, watching some of his actions early this season I really doubt the Yankees offer him an extension. But who knows...it's still early.
  19. Wow. That's really all that can be said about last night.
  20. Johan Santana in pinstripes...pitching the first game in the new Yankee Stadium...? From now until November/ December 2008 every Yankees fan needs to start building up as much good karma as possible.
  21. Moose has been pretty good against the Twins in his career, if I recall correctly. Let's hope that trend, along with the good pitching so far this series, continues. And if A-Rod hits another HR tonight, I will name my firstborn after him.
  22. Suddenly the Mariners are missing Cleveland
  23. ...probably not a surprise to many people.
