  1. I don't really seeing the Yankees winning the East, but I don't think this team is dead by any stretch of the imagination. They've been in a pretty bad stretch, but they're starting to come out of it and play pretty well. The offense is going to pick it up and soon enough we'll have a rotation which, I think, could do pretty well. Way too early to give up.
  2. Now that's just plain unfair.
  3. How many pitchers over 40 do you guys have? Typing in all caps won't change that fact.
  4. Scott Proctor has been suspended for 4 games. A 4 game break for a Yankee reliever!? Joe Torre will not like this.
  5. You adding nothing to the discussion....hmmm....
  6. Barry Zito's not too bad either.
  7. Yeah, she definitely overreacted but I can't really blame her. I was freaking out when I saw it on TV, I can't imagine what it was like at the stadium.
  8. Good, it's where he belongs. It's funny the Yankees paid that much for him, but I also see humor in the fact that a guy being sent down to A ball shut out the Sox for six innings a few weekends ago. He has the talent and stuff to be a #5 starter, but he's having serious trouble making the switch from Japan to American ball.
  9. As opposed to the Red Sox? Ummm, how many of your players have not been 'bought'? Like 3? That's the nature of the game now; big market teams with a lot of success like the Yankees and the Sox get rarely get major help from their farm systems, they have to 'buy' talent.
  10. The Yankees' good luck charm is back!
  11. I'm in shock; I definitely thought he'd end up in Boston.
  12. Roger Clemens said it himself. He made the announcement over the sound system from George Steinbrenner's box.
  13. Let me say that in a more reasonable fashion: Roger Clemens has decided to pitch for the New York Yankees this year. I'm sorry, I was just really excited.
  14. He just announced it to the stadium crowd from George Steinbrenner's box!!!
  15. Thank you, Scott.
  16. Saw that HBP coming. Yankees go up 3 - 0 on bloop hit by Cairo.
  17. Joe Torre's at it again.
  18. And there it goes.
  19. I doubt Wang gets the no-no, but he's pitching a great game. This is something the team really needed.
  20. It's more entertaining to listen to the fans of the first place team acting so crazy about the last place team.
  21. Vizciano could be effective if Joe Torre hadn't set a record and taken only a month to murder his arm. Anyways, I'd rather have his arm in the bullpen and the young guys we got than 43 year old Randy Johnson (6.15 ERA, .300+ opposing batting average from both sides...in the National League.) And I hope we have a few more games like this; might lead to someone 'slightly' more important than a conditioning coach to be shown the door.
  22. The bullpen must really hate Pettitte or something. I guess that's what he gets for defending Pavano.
