    I'm still writing the Yankees off for this year. You still have no SPing. I don't think you're going to be able to outscore every team you play between now an october. At some point you're bats are going to cool down and the Yankees will be a team that hovers right above .500, and finishes 3rd in the division. Yankee fans, you want to believe that you're getting in the playoffs this year just because you're the Yankees. Thats always what I hear from analysts, "They're the Yankees ... they'll turn it around" "They'll win the division ... come on they're the Yankees" I think this year will be the first year in a long while that ESPN will have to find another teams dick to ride into the playoffs. Although I'm sure they'll spend all of the playoffs talking about how the Yankees should be there. Don't gloat just because you've been in first place for what now ... 11 hours?

    Well theres a chance with the injury that he had that it may take him a full seasonof throwing to recover. This season may be nothing more than rehab starts for him. Considering his arm isn't 100% he's really not having that bad of a year.

    If you want a brawl we're definatly in the right series for it. I believe 2 hit batters last night and Papi was almost hit. I figure the benches could end up clearing before this series is over.

    Making a new topic about this just makes it worse. Now people will bitch in the bitching thread and then come here and bitch about why they're bitching. I guess we all went into this season thinking we were going to be undefeated, because we're sure acting like it.

    Everyone calm down. Theres no reason to freak out, and start having heart attacks. This team will be fine. Schilling looked very good tonight. Theres no way a lineup like this stays cold for long so I'm not worried about that. Plus, think about it, the Yanks went on a big run earlier in the year, then a big losing streak. Just like our bats can't stay cold forever, mediocre pitchers can't win forever. Take a deep breath, go smoke a cig, do something, just stop freaking out.

    Does it really matter if the Yankees move into 1st place for a couple days, a week? I don't really care who is in first place in July, as long as we're in first place on October 3rd thats all that matters. Let the Yankees have their fun. 1st and 2nd for the Rangers with 0 outs

    Well I was told by a friend who signed off after saying it. I thought it was a done deal but couldn't find any info on it so I assume for now it's just a rumor. EDIT: Just annonced on NESN as a rumor, so thats all it is.
