  1. Well, you assumed you knew everything about me first buddy. If you don't like it, don't throw stones.
  2. I am not, and never was a "FO ball washer", so I hope that wasn't directed at me. I only asked that they be given a chance before we write the obituary. I was/am one of the most critical members here, and I was all season last year as well as 2011......there is no reason to bitch and moan about the same s*** every day in every post you make. I feel the same way you do......I just don't let it consume my life. .....mind your own business. Don't take your drinking problem out on me.
  3. Dodgers talk here. I also included a poll. What do you guys think of all the money they are spending this offseason? If you ask me, it has the makings of becoming and epic disaster. Possibly a reincarnation of the 1992 Mets, the worst team money could buy......which was only second to the 2012 Boston Redsox.
  4. John Lackey, not even close. Hes the last turd left on the roster.
  5. I worked a alot of overtime and details the last couple weeks in order to get ready for Christmas. I guess Im not a real Sox fan like SBF. Hes the best Giants, Dodgers, Bluejays, Yankees, Orioles, Rangers, Royals, Reds, Cardinals, Rays, Brewers....etc etc fan around. Phony, and NO....I DONT want to hear the ******** story of your fandom again. Go back to dodgerblues, or sawxheads...or whatever s***** board you came from. You have ZERO ground to stand on when you question other members allegiances, just sayin'.
  6. Seeing Youkilis in a Yankee uniform will be a constant reminder of the carnage that was Bobby Valentine. Good for Youk, if I were there, Id cheer him. He deserved better.
  7. We are projecting him based on 8 or 9 innings against one team?
  8. Ellsbury, Salty, Kalish and Iglesias for either Cliff Lee or Roy Halladay. Ask them for Jake Diekman as well......asking for both pitchers may force us to add a pitching prospect along the lines of Brandon Workman. Priority 1, Halladay. That dude is a beast. Why PHI would consider the deal: 1. Ellsbury fills a hole. He would replace Victorino in CF. 2. Salty fills a hole. PHI needs a catcher since theirs is serving a PED suspenstion. 3. Kalish can get some time in the OF, especially splitting time with Juan Pierre. 4. Iglesias will learn the ropes from Rollins. Rollins eventually should shift to 3B. 5. They get out of a Halladays contract. We have a replacement now for Ellsbury. We also have one for Salty. A signing of Swisher would eliminate a need for Kalish. Iglesias is expendable because we have players with higher ceilings in the wings. Sign Alex Gonzalez short term. Sign J. Bay to a minor league deal. Ross is also still on the table. LF Ross/Gomes/Bay CF: Victorino RF: Nick Swisher 3b: WMB SS: Alex Gonzalez 2B: Dustin Pedroia 1B: Mike Napoli DH: David Ortiz C: David Ross/ Ryan Lavarnway SP: Roy Halladay SP: Jon Lester SP: Clay Buccholz SP: Franklin Morales SP: Jon Lackey Other possibles: Kyle Lohse CP: Andrew Bailey BP: Daniel Bard BP: Jake Diekman BP: Junichi Tazawa BP: Alfredo Aceves BP: Brian Wilson BP: Andrew Miller Thats 24 of the 25 players. Pedro Ciriaco would round out the team as the utility INF/Super sub. That team is damn good, and very balanced. The lineup looks long. A lot of quality bats, the only hole would be at SS. Halladay anchors the staff, it would be nice to see what Lester and Buccholz could learn from him. Also, you have to imigaine that Farrell with have some influence with this group. The cancer is gone, its time to start over......and this new blood could be what we need to make a run.
  9. Ellsbury is a complete question mark. He went over .900 once, He is more of a lock to spend time on the 60 day DL than he is to have a solid year. At least Victorino stays on the field.
  10. Alex Gonzalez is still on the market.
  11. We don't need Josh Hamilton. Trade Ellsbury, sign Swisher and then concentrate on making the pitching staff better. Ellsbury would obviously bring back an arm.
  12. Good or bad, since he made the trade of Beckett, Gonzalez and Crawford to LA, this team has a significantly different look/clubhouse. Today at least gives us some hope that BC is invested in changing the culture. With some of the rumors floating around, this team may have a chance at being a little more than just competitive. I told (some of) you guys, give him a chance.
  13. I was reading something wrong. I am not dead set against him, I just rather have Swisher...........trading Ellsbury to put Victorino in CF would make me happy.
  14. Look at progressions. Upton and Victorino have regressed. Bourn has improved.
  15. Is it really? Take age out of it. Look at Victorino's regression over the last couple of years.
  16. Lets wait and see here. If they trade Ellsbury/Salty/Kalish for a good arm and bullpen help, then turn around and sign Swisher......then this is a great deal. Not only are they moving bad blood out, they are bringing in new, fresh blood.....guys who actually appear that they give a s*** about winning.
  17. Damn you!! Seriously though, I would still like to have Swisher at the expense of Ellsbury.
  18. Chad Finn ‏@GlobeChadFinn Three years, $39 million? RT @nickcafardo: Cherington still hasn't ruled out Cody Ross even after pending Shane Victorino signing.
  19. Michael Giardi ‏@MikeGiardi Everyone - and I mean everyone - I've talked to abt Victorino says he's a player with declining skills. Worrisome #redsoxtalk
  20. Nick Cafardo ‏@nickcafardo Cherington said he would like to add a leftanded hitting 1B who woud be versatile. Swisher?
  21. I like it, they need to clean house. They should have done this last offseason. Thank god there was a team out there as dumb as the Dodgers.
  22. With "middling" hitters, it depends on what their skill set is. If they all have OB% skills, the lineup gets longer.....you just need to have the horses to drive them in. "Middling" hitters who don't get on base, but hit solo homers in games that don't count obviously doesn't help. Lets see what they do after this move.
  23. Salty wont get Floyd. That would be too easy.
  24. They are not paying him 13M to platoon.
