I think Salty is a better offensive and defensive catcher than Arencibia.....so that tells you what I think of him. I think Rasmus sucks, IMO he is extremely limited. I think Encarnacion had a fluke year or he was injecting himself with something. That year came from nowhere, just as Bautista appeared out of thin air. Further, Jose Bautista cannot stay on the field because he is off the roids. I dont think they are a very good team.

Blue Jays are the most overrated team in baseball. They will not finish above 3rd.

Its not optimism. Its just being realistic. Nobody wanted to hear that they sucked last year. Everyone was in denial from day 1. I dont care if they lose 100 games as long as they give a s***...play the game the right way and let the talent take care of itself.

The first real move he was allowed to make was "the trade". He wasn't even allowed to pick his own manager last year.

this team is going to win this year......these guys actually look like they want to play the game. What a difference from last year. Baseball is fun to watch again. I will have a s*** eating grin on my face all year......Ben Cherington was crucified around here all offseason by a few members of this board. He did a remarkable job of flushing the crap out of here and bringing in great character guys and a great manager.

a700, I am not a bully nor a coward. He is very insulting and belittling to everyone, but the thing is......he has NO GROUND to insult anyone. You can literally google his username and/or real name and find dozens of posts from him about how he is a fan of this team and that team.....he wants to call other people out and call them names, it sucks when its turned around on you.

My favorite Ebbets Field moment was the July 4th, 1951 double header between the Giants and the Dodgers. Those teams, the most rabid rivalry in sports back then, played many times during the 4th of July, often double headers. I loved this day. We came back against Sal Maglie in the first game after we were trailing 4-0, and with homers by Campy and Pee Wee got back in the game and eventually tied it in the ninth and won it in extra innings. The second game saw Ralph Branca pitch a complete game, 4-2 win, with help from homers by Duke and Gil.
