  1. No problem - I'm British and living in the UK so have an advantage in that respect. There are 5 or 6 football clubs in the UK (of which Liverpool is one) that have the support and the money to ensure that relegation should never be something they have to contend with. You'd run rings round me on baseball stuff ... although I'm learning fast.
  2. The chances of Liverpool getting relegated from the Premiership are very very slim. It's more about finishing high enough in the Premiership to qualify for the highly lucrative European Champions League.
  3. If either party wanted to do a deal it would have been done by now. He's gone.
  4. There is no way the Sox retain him - either now or next year. Given that, the only logical move is to trade him now. That makes me sad. (However, I'm not sure ownership or the FO have the brains to figure that out or the balls to do it so we will probably just let him walk next year .... that makes me sadder)
  5. Not going to panic until Mother Abigail shows up!
  6. Some reports now that Graterol's medical records are a bit iffy! Could be further developments.
  7. Man - some of you guys are so entitled! I'm a UK based Sox fan and as you probably know the number 1 game over here is football (or soccer as you will know it). Many UK football teams have no chance of ever winning a title but their supporters are loyal and follow them regardless. Some of the more well known teams have been very badly managed financially in recent years with the FSG run Liverpool being an exception. From over here it looks as if John Henry has been a great owner for the Red Sox and has brought us riches that we could only have dreamt about before the turn of the century. We've had a good run in recent years and now we have to rebuild. You have to take the rough with the smooth in sport. Our day will come again. A 12 year $420m contract is such a massive gamble - if it was your money I bet most of you wouldn't take that risk. Sometimes you have to accept that you just can't have what you want.
  8. Dislike!
