    Does anything the Pirates do make sense? If he were that available I would have like to have seen the Sox make a run at him and take a fliar since there is still a little uncertainty in the rotation. DiceK Beckett Wake Schilling and Lester being a minor question mark. A nice three for the Pirates is an even better five for us.

    Wow, thats huge......what a professional he was. I was wondering what was up with him and was about to add the fact that he will make the team even stronger when the rosters expand to 40, but it looks like his days in Boston are just about finished since they will probably non-tender him after the season and only gave up Seibel.

    Ill look for a link, but according to NESN it has been confirmed and Gagne has agreed to be the setup man for Murphy, Gabbard and another player. EDIT: ENGEL BELTRE THE THIRD PLAYER IN THE DEAL.     Yikes...didnt see that rumor, and it turned out that they didnt get nearly that much when it was said and done.

    Since the Drays are in town..... How about a deal for Rocco Baldelli? I know he is injury prone, but when healthy, we know what he can do. Throw in the factors that Manny is outta here next year, Crisp may be traded and Drew cant hit lefty pitching I think it would be possible to find the guy ABs. Here is what I would propose..... 1. WMP.....since TB loves reclamation projects ala Carlos Pena. 2. Craig Hansen 3. and someone else like lower level prospect Oscar Tejada... 4. if thats not enough throw in someone like David Murphy, since he really has no future in Boston. for Rocco Baldelli. Thoughts? I think he would like mighty good in a Sox uniform.

    His power is frightening. The double, and the HR were just tattoooooood. My mouth dropped wide open watching the flight on those balls. He has frightening potential.....which probably will go to waste in Boston. He still cant hit a big league curveball....because he never learned to hit a minor league curveball first......since he never really had a chance to develop in minor league ball.

I dont care how well he pitches for the rest of the season, I am tired of the negative attention he draws to the club. Hey Curt, STOP STATING THE OBVIOUS. Everybody knows they cheated......why bring it up time and time again?
