  1. ohhh man that guy got drilled in the face!!!!
  2. Fair enough, as long as we both understand where each is coming from man. Both teams have issues wed rather not talk about....as far as the Moss's are concerned, they still pale in comparison to one Ricky "licky-sticky" Williams. You have to credit BB with the "one mans trash, another mans treasure" he seems to find in the troubled people he does take chances on though......hopefully Moss will be a pleasant surprise.
  3. Listen, I understand....I see what you are saying....but try to understand where I am coming from also. Am I proud that he did that s*** and brought this negetive attention to NE? No, but that doesnt change the fact of how dominant and intimidating he is on the field. It is embarrassing bc this s*** isnt supposed to happen to our NE patriots....but it did, he was a man about it....and id like to move on. Is he looked at as a dirty player? You are damn right, it may not always serve justice to the way he plays....but it is intimidating to opponents, and that label of being dirty serves as a microscope where everything he does is criticized and analyzed. There is s*** he does that all NFL players do, but his leash is a lot shorter than someone who wasnt labeled that way as a young NFL player who was young, stupid and immature.
  4. Because he does the job. He doesnt get in to trouble off the field. Because he is a leader. Because he is a pro bowler who never takes a play off. Because his reputation alone makes him a dangerous player, one who most players want nothing to do with.
  5. Denver Broncos dirtbag move.....Travis Henry doesnt pay child support. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/2007-08-29-155239869_x.htm What about Sauerbrun testing positive for banned substance ephedra? What about Brandon Marshal pleading guilty to kidnapping? David Kircus being arrested for assault and battery? First round DE Jarvis Moss and his history with Marijuana? your right....first class organization. Much better than the s*** we hear from Pats players.
  6. Right.....keep in mind that Brady got the nod over Huard, and Bishop (who NE fans loved was released in TC). BB stumbled into blind luck with that one. And BB doesnt have a history of finding ways to get QBs who he likes in the lineup in opportune ways (Testaverde over Kosar in 94). Also, Brady was never the backup, he was the third string-emergency QB, which is why he came in the 3rd quarter of the Colts game some 5-6 years ago. As far as Denver being a first class organization, you already hit on ROMO, and im sure the denver olineman have a sparkling reputation for not cut blocking/chopblocking and being the most dirty lineman in the NFL.
  7. OK...how about this...Shawn Merriman? His lawyer claimed the reports to be false, and Merriman himself said that it must have been a "nutritional suplement". Then reports came out that Merriman's positive test was "definitely for steroids … not one of those supplement deals." At least Rodney was classy enough to own up to it.....which is what we as fans like to see most, rather than f***ing excuses and lies. HGH is very hard to detect as is.....he was caught buying it....keep in mind he wasnt even caught using it, but owned up to it anyway. Are you seriously going to say that every team doesnt have someone using HGH? Keep in mind its VERY hard to detect. Does that comparison work better for you?
  8. Well, you are from FL, so I guess maybe thats why the Buccaneers always suck....bc you dont want players like Rodney Harrison....or Randy Moss...or Corey Dillon....or give a seventh round QB a chance....or turn a college wrestler into a very good Olineman (Neal)....or bring in other teams spare parts and give them roles and make them stars (Vrabel)...or sign CB's off the street who turn out producing. Obviously you are not a Pats fan if you ask this question. I think its so funny people point the finger at him and call him names. The Patriots are a model franchise and people have been itching for years to smear their reputation. Every f***ing team has their problems......point all you want man but dont make him what hes not. Hes not a Bengal dirtbag. (Every offseason) He was never part of a partyboat. (Vikings) He was never accused of killing anybody. (Rae Carruth, Ray Lewis) He never murdered dogs. (Vick) Hes not Pacman Jones. He never gave a girl an STD. (Vick) He never went by a false name to get laid. (Vick) I still dont think hes half as bad as Romanowski. There are a lot worse people in the world. Only non-patriots fans will try to use this to smear their pristine reputation as a first class organization....which by the way, most other teams in the NFL have no f***ing clue how to run an organization. If it makes you feel better to put down the hands down best organization in pro football, by all means man....
  9. I was at this game...it was one of the most incredible sporting events....if not the greatest ive ever seen.
  10. Ummmm... Milloy....battle over money. Law....battle over money. Branch...who you forgot, was battle over money. Dillon...he started to get grumpy, and hes now gone. Damien Woody....battle over money. Brown....ahhhhh that doesnt ring a bell. Vincent Brown? Troy Brown? Both have/will retire as patriots. I guess that proves your point, and you are right....Belichick doesnt f*** around, he wants to win...which is why #37 will be the starting SS as soon as he is ready. Bellichick will not get rid of a player (one of his favorite btw) because he made a stupid mistake. Harrison took a pay cut to play here...and he loves it in New England.
  11. Are you serious? He is the heart and soul of that defense. You can claim Bruschi is all you want......but in games he is not playing in, thats Pats D is a completely different D with or without Tedy. Harrison is the X factor of that team and one of the smartest players in the NFL....call him dirty, call him cheap.....but ask any WR in the NFL how much he influences their routes. People call cornerbacks "shut down" corners, well he is a shut down centerfielder because when hes on the field nobody dares to cross the middle, add that with Samuel on the outside and 66% of the field is not thrown too. Throw in the fact that he has linebacker instincts and stops the run like a mike linebacker and youve got one one of the best, if not the best SS in the NFL when healthy. Hes not going anywhere. He made a stupid mistake (to get back on the field) and he owned up to it. Its not like hes Merriman who used them to make himself an unstoppable force....he used them to get back on the field, and you cant take anything away from his HOF career........and I guarantee hes been tested throughout his career since hes one of the NFL's top villains. Hes a true Patriot, he loves playing here, and he never complains about a damn thing, cut him some slack.
  12. Reverse psychology mojo? If last night is any indication.....the division is not completely over. Yankees still have 6 games head to head with Boston, and taking 2 outta 3 from Boston could give them a little motivational juice to put together a little win streak.
  13. If the Sox take 2 of 3....then split the next series with the Yankees THEN I will say its over. Ive been following this team for a pretty long time.......and to think its over this soon is a bad thing. If they build up a 10-12 game lead with 25 or so games to play....then its over. With 30+ games left to play.....lets be cautious.
  14. Just win baseball games...worry about the other s*** later.
  15. God do I miss football double sessions. Schill.....you may hate them now, but enjoy every minute of HS football, because in 5 or 6 years you will look back at those days and realize how much fun it actually was. I came from a pretty big school with a team of more than 60 players that went 9-2 my senior year. Since the team was so huge, we all played 1 way (offense or defense), although we practiced secondary positions as well. I played FB (6'0 225 Lbs) and was the long snapper. My secondary position was DE although I only started 1 game on defense sophomore year. Must be fun to get to play both sides of the ball.
  16. No....its not over. The only way its over is to keep winning.
  17. I dont see this team changing very much at all next season. 1B Youkilis, ugly looking ballplayer....but somehow produces although its not pretty. 2B Pedroia..average may drop a little....but expect around .300 and better production. SS Lugo..Lets face it, I doubt they bring in ANOTHER opening day SS, and he has played a lot better in the second half. Hes also been pretty good defensively. 3B Lowell..if the Sox can seriously bring in you know who....then im all for it, but at worst we will stick with a guy who is proven and loves playing baseball in this city. LF Ramirez..hes not going anywhere, I dont understand why people think another team will take him after 6 seasons of balking at him on the waivers, and they wont eat 18+M just because other contracts are running out. CF Crisp..He has really grown on me. I like the way he plays. I hope they dont get rid of the guy. He finally looks comfortable. RF Drew..Damn you JD Drew and your contract. Hopefully year 2 is a complete turnaround. Anything he does next year HAS to be better than year 1. C Tek..Another year, another season of his grittiness behind the plate. DH Ortiz..Expect a HR/RBI rebound when he is healthy next year. Bench: Cora INF Kielty OF/1B..I expect him to put on the 1B glove again during spring training next season. Ellsbury...depending on JD Drew, he could see significant AB's.....even in RF (I know he has a weak arm...but if Manny and Crisp are here...where else will he play?) If nobody else is dealt, Ellsbury will be on the bench, or in AAA.....as much as we dont want to see that happen. Backup C..I have doubts its going to be Mirabelli, especially since Cash has shown us that there are other catchers who are capable of catching the knuckle. Theo has to find one early in the offseason instead of just assuming that a guy can come in and learn it during spring training. Carter/Hinske..whoever has the better spring will stick, Carter goes to AAA if he loses out, Hinske gets the boot if he loses out. Rotation: 1. Beckett 2. Dice-K 3. Wakefield 4. Bucholz 5. Not really sure....not totally convinced it will be Lester. Bullpen: CL: Paps RP: Oki RP: Delcarmen RP: Tavarez...I think he will be back. RP: Another reliever...Timlin wont be back, Lopez is a possibility, Gagne wont be back, Snyder is also a possibility, but Tavarez will pitch in a similar role. There is my 25 man breakdown....not many changes. I think a lot of major things need to be tweeked in order to bring in a big name player like Arod, or allow room for Ellsbury, and Im not sure that will happen....Most of the changes will occur depending on the outcome of the season.
  18. God Youkilis's swing is awful.
