    Very doubtful they acquire him. If they make a trade, it will be a couple nobodies as NYM want to rid themselves of the remaining contract, and wouldnt pick up the option anyway. Now there is rumors circulating that he is indeed still injured, and not ready. Great, all we need to do is swing and miss on another big name pitcher from the National League coming back from major surgery......im sure he'll be fine, and weve done so well in that dept. (minus Saito). I dont think the NTC or the redsox picking up the option are the real issues in this deal, I think Wagners left arm is the only thing holding this up regardless of what is being said.

    Very good analysis, I think you should copy and paste in to a DREW thread, as it will get lost in the game thread. I dont like Drew very much, but I dont hate him. Overpaid? Yes, but its not my money and fans need to stop putting a dollar value with him. He got paid very well, in a very good market the year he got paid. Hes been good, maybe not what some people expected, especially with the talent EVERYBODY knows he does have, but he is not the teams problem in terms of wins and losses, he contributes much more positive than negetive. People are just looking for a scapegoat, and since Drew isnt rah rah with the media, some fans seem to equate that with his skill level/desire to win.

    Agree, Theo also basically gave up pretty early anyway by putting Green in LF, Baldelli in RF and Kotchman at 1B. He wasnt gunna burn the team in a game they had no business winning.

    I was in section 29, drunk.....still screaming YOU SUCK PENNY, 3 innings after he was removed from the game.

    Agree. Im nervous bc I dont think Texas is good enough to win the WC, and TB might go off on a run now and actually overtake Boston in the WC. Very scary considering the way Boston has played against them this year, especially at the Trop.

    Yeah, like I said, it was a little tough to figure out what exactly what was going on. Didnt matter anyway, game was over at the points they happened.

    I was one of the unfortunate ones to spend money on this game. No more this season, not when they play like that. Not worth it. Brad Penny sucks, his inability to throw anything other than a fastball is inexcusable. He is absolutely terrible. Bowden looked awful as well. His mechanics look pretty bad, if not very very unorthodox. Offense was not all that bad, although they had only 1 hit or so through the first 4 inn, and by that point the game was pretty much over. VMart looked to struggle tremendously behind the plate. From the third base angle I had, I was not sure if he was getting crossed up, or just boxing balls off of his mitt, either way, 2 of the 3 botches were when the game was clearly out of reach. Just a disgusting game to watch, let alone pay for. Unless the Yankee tickets are free in the future, I dont see myself going as I am extremely disappointed and feel like it was a complete waste of money.

    Agree, my favorite thing to do is go to fenway, show up a little early, drink some beer, eat a dog and mingle with the best baseball fans in the world. The park is old, so what....one day when they replace it, you will miss it and the atmosphere that goes with it.
