  1. Your ERA is your ERA. Everybody is lights out when you take away their worst starts.
  2. His ERA is only a run and a half higher than Beckett's. What do you have to say now?
  3. You guys quit on Clement too easily. He's a decent #5 starter.
  4. yahoo gamecast is all messed up, it only accounted for 2 outs... whatever.
  5. Good decision to keep Pauley out there. He's facing 7-8-9

  7. Am I the only one who sees past this threat of trading Manny every year? I think it's a stunt to see what other teams would possibly be willing to give up, therefore maybe showing people who might be available.
  8. Hopefully Stern has more days like today.
  9. Yeah it's pretty much BS.
  10. thread creator, since when do we have kevin milwood?
  11. stop whining
  12. Actually we have been quite consistant with these Ls piling up:lol:
  13. the question is can we trust loretta at 34 at 2B? rofl
  14. what do you mean "nixon at his age"? do you have any idea what you're tlaking about? manny is 33, damon was 30, and nixon is 31, i don't think age is a factor
  15. This is so funny, thought you guys might get a kick out of this
  16. Yeah, the National League. At the most hitter friendly park in the majors.
  17. Whatever happens, we cannot let Trot Nixon go. This guy is the most underrated player on the ballclub. I heard his name in trade rumors and I was just appalled. He's good for .300 average, 25 homers and 85 RBIs no question. He also occasioanlly makes spectacular defensive plays and no one knows right field at Fenway better than him.
  18. just agree with whatever TV says, those guys know only marginally more than the average fan, and they get paid for it.
  19. Nothing short of a class act and a solid player. We will miss you Billy. Good luck.
  20. Whatever, I don't follow baseball to talk about money and s***. I play baseball. I love the game. Nomar is a great player, contrary to popular belief. Hes better than freaking Edgar Renteria who with your logic is a f***ing abomination at 10 million dollars a year, while Nomar would be paid in only 5 million dollar range. Edgar made huge amounts of errors and was mediocre with the bat. I'm sorry, but Garciaparra is still one of the best shortstops in the game. At his best, he's an batting champion and in the field he is inconsistant but has a large range and can make great plays. If he stays healthy this season, he will perform no matter where he ends up. You can quote me on that. Just because Nomar made comments abotu Boston and this and that I can see why you hate him now. But that does not subtract that hes still one of the best free agents out there no matter how far his stock has fallen. Open up your eyes and put away your hate.
  21. Reportedly Clemens said he was pleasantly surprised by the Red Sox contacting him and may consider... I am trying to find this source... the title of the ESPN article says this but is the same story about how the Red Sox contacted him...
  22. Why the hell do you care about the money? You're not paying them, we already have a payroll of 150 million or so who cares for 5 more million for one year? IMO, the reward is >>>>>>>>>>>>> than the risk.
  23. How many of you would trade Ramirez for Tejada? There are rumors this might happen. We are not gonna stick with some scrub as our opening day starter... not this team. I say we do that trade and then sign damon and dave roberts and our lineup is set.
