  1. I'm glad someone else is watching.
  2. The Proctologist picks up where he left off last year.
  3. Seems a bit dismissive when the Yankees will be relying on Wang and, to some degree, Pavano. Both of those guys bread and butter is pitching to contact and inducing ground balls.

    Aloha.
  5. Ole glovework by Giambi. Grounders to the right side are going to be sphincter tightening moments for Yankee fans this year.
  6. Sa-Wish-er! Followed by Cano's first of many fielding whoopsies this year. E-4
  7. Ksushi, I just noticed your custom title. That is the exact same thing I was going to use if I had won one in the Super Bowl Grid. Oh well, back the the mental catalouge.
  8. Harden got absolutely squeezed in the walk to CI, who then scores. Should have been the 3rd out when his 0-2 pitch caught the corner. I can understand not giving the outside corner, but be consistent. Mussina got a called 3rd strike off the plate outside in the previous inning. 1-0 Yanks.
  9. Harden's filthy, but he needs to take command of the zone. They made him throw 30 pitches that inning.
  10. While I don't agree with your tone, I do agree with that assessment. Riv likes to talk about Schilling declining, but Mussina's decline the past couple of years means he's covered in red flags, IMO. That said, he'll probably be able to keep them in the game since that lineup will score off anybody. Even Rich Harden.
  11. Hanley and the Marlins are killing for me tonight. I've got Ramirez, 4-4 3 ribs, and Cabrera, 2-3 HR 2 ribs, and my opponent, ATG13, has Pettitte. *I also have Jacobs, but started Thome at 1B instead of him. No biggie, Thome hit another one out today.
  12. I think it is less of him trying to mix it up, and more of him trying to assure that either Schilling or Beckett pitches in each series. But I do agree, Wake doesn't take well to the dryer air.
  13. When Wake doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. DiNardo time.
  14. Mike Jacobs just took Pettitte yard. 8-0 Marlins in the 5th. Call me crazy, but I think the Marlins are going to surprise some people this year with their offense. They won't win a shitload of games because their pitching is weak, but they won't be pushovers, IMO.
  15. Trot with the 350 ft. strike. Wait 5 mics next time Trot!
  16. ...with ribs! Lugo getting hurt helped me out, since it I picked up Hanley in our fantasy league to fill the void.
  17. Cut it in half now, Manny!
  18. No harm, no foul. Get 'em next time Josh. Riv, what's the matter, slow day under the bridge? It's pretty pathetic you need to come in a gloat when the Sox are losing to brighten your day.
  19. Not to continue the hijack of the Pinckney thread, I think the FO wants to have him pitch up to 3 IP in an appearance, working on secondary pitches. Typically, AAA is less about development and more about competitiveness, ie trying to win games. Whereas AA is more about development and less about results. Personally, this distinction is immaterial to me, but it would help explain the FO's reasoning. I don't expect him to be there long.
  20. This should go in Wikipedia as the definition of Double Standard.
  21. First of all, he's saying that all those guys have left Portland. Second of all, Hansen is actually going to start the year in AA. The FO wants to work him out in specific situations, and they'd prefer to do that in AA vs. AAA. link
  22. http://www.bestjump.net/group310/sitefile/sitpix/ag310a14.gif
  23. 5 IP, 5 ER, 9.00 ERA, 3 K, 1.60 WHIP http://amytenderich.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/foot_mouth_1.gif
  24. I hoped they would get this done this offseason, but they still have an option to pick up and next offseason to negotiate an extension. I'll reiterate what I've said all along. They should have the extension void the option and give Ortiz a big raise for '07 while locking him up for '08-'10. He's earned it, and he's the public face of the franchise. It's good PR for both the fans and other players in the league.
