  2. Let's go Adam, knock 'em in eh.
  3. http://www.outdoorworldart.com/Hunting/Images/ScopeSeries/HU0522MOOSE.jpg Go ahead, Halos, squeeze that trigger.
  4. Coco jammed his finger sliding into 3B last night. I'm pretty sure they are just being cautious.
  5. Rivernator started a game thread.
  6. Sanity prevails. Let this rule the day. http://users.sdccu.net/hoggy/images/kb.jpg Oh, and let's not forget this. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/kembry/deadbird.jpg
  7. I watched a couple of the ST games on mlb.tv, and Papelbon was around 89-91 by the NESN gun. So, I wouldn't worry about Lester's ST velocity. The 92-95 range he sits in with the 4-seamer is from his regular season MiLB starts. And, he's only 22, so that number may go up a little.
  8. Actually, the FSN West replay shows that Shields foot touches the bag a millisecond before ARod's fingers touch the bag.
  9. It was close, could have gone either way. But, I didn't say anything about the call, I just said it was a great stop by Kotchman.
  10. Hell of play by Kotchman. Quinlan doesn't touch that ball.
  11. Mid-90's. He's got his usual stuff, but he is locating very well.
  12. And besides, if we are going to use small sample sizes, then Wily Mo's line for the season looks like this.... .333/.333/.667/1.000 that's golden! I agree with you guys. Let's not write the kid off after 2 ABs.
  13. Kennedy = Yankee killer That guy seems like he's always a thorn in your sides.
  14. Last year it was a little true. Both the split and the slider were good at times, but they weren't consistent. That said, they both look like +pitches right now.
  15. I just watched Verlander's last inning of work in Texas, and his curve and change are off the charts silly. The Texas announcers said he sat at 95 all night and got up to 98. His change is in the mid-70's. And his curve, oh his curve, looks like it drops about 4 ft. On top of all that, his delivery looks pretty smooth and effortless. I'm not going to be looking forward to series with the Tigs where Bonderman and Verlander are scheduled to start.
  16. It isn't just hitting. They have some good young pitchers too. Bonderman is going to be very good (he shined in his first game this year), and Verlander is going to be very good IMO. He's pitching tonight in Ameriquest against the same Texas lineup that Beckett went 7 IP, 5 K, 1 ER against, except he's gone 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 6 K. Bonderman sits at 93-95, Verlander is mid-to-high 90's with a +curve and a decent change. The also picked up Kenny Rogers, who is nuts, but a decent pitcher moving into one of the better pitcher's parks (Comerica). They'll be in the mix for the Central.
  17. I saw three ++pitches there. Excellent FB, the 0-1 slider to Millar is illegal in 13 states, and the splitter that K'd him was very good. Three +pitches needs to be starting ASAP.
  18. That's pretty much not true though. Ortiz and Manny aren't quite what they can (and will) be. They've had 2 games where they got some timely hitting, and two where they did not. They've made a couple of blunders on the basepaths. They've started out about average for their capabilities, but they've had 3 very good pitching performances in 5 games from two very good pitchers. Once the O gets in synch, and the pitching continues, then they'll be hot. They aren't there yet IMO.
  19. Chris Shelton has decided hitting HRs is too bourgeoisie, so he's 2-2 with 2 triples and 3 ribs thus far tonight.
  20. A lot. I was skeptical of how much of a bounce back he could get, but he looks damn good through (small smaple alert) the first two games.
  21. You mean if Millar went deep into a count only to pop-up 100 feet shy of the warning track like he did for most of 2005. Poetic indeed.
  22. I've been waiting for him to elevate a high hard one.
  23. Detroit has plated 4 runs in the first against Millwood. This team is no joke.
  24. Rleal ( spelling) got lucky to escape last inning, but if I were him I wouldn't roll the dice and try to do it twice.
