  1. Talksox has always done that for me.
  2. Wow, a ketchup sock reference 18 months after Schilling hobbled out there and shut up 55,000 New Yorkers, I guess that wound hasn't healed yet.
  3. No, they are taking batting practice. Clement seems to think the place to pitch is just above the belt right over the middle of the plate. An Independent League team could go to town off his stuff tonight.
  4. Um...Clement pretty much sucks tonight. He can't throw a strike down in the zone, and he's getting hammered.
  5. I'm really starting to like Mike Lowell...a lot. Not that there's anyting wrong with that.
  6. Keep.....the ball.....down. This bitch will get blown open real quick if Clement keeps serving it up between the letters and the belt.
  7. At 'em ball, s***.
  8. Every ball has been hit hard thus far......pound 'em Manny.
  9. The infield D really looks solid. Hey Matty, keep the ball down and throw strikes, they'll catch 'em this year.
  10. Blinky continues to smack around Sox pitchers. At least it was a single. I'm not a mean person, and I'd never wish harm upon anyone, but if a boat with Reed Johnson and Frank Catalanotto were to disappear in the Bermuda Triangle, it's a safe bet that I won't shed any tears.
  11. They do compromise most of the time. Who actually went to arbitration this year? The only player I can think of off the top of my head was Soriano.

He recorded the victory over the Orioles. This is Clement's first start of the season at Fenway Park, where he went 8-4 with a 4.90 ERA last year. Clement pitched four times against the Blue Jays in 2005, going 0-2 with an 8.34 ERA. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/images/team_logos/50x50/tor.gif TOR: LHP Ted Lilly (1-0, 4.05 ERA) Lilly will be making his second start of the year, this time against the Red Sox, who the left-hander victimized last season. In 2005, Lilly was 3-0 with a 2.40 ERA in five starts with 19 strikeouts across 30 innings vs. Boston. He hasn't fared as well at Fenway Park, though, going 2-1 with a 5.08 ERA in seven starts in Beantown. We need some dead bird mojo since we had none yesterday and the Sox lost. http://www.cfa.ilstu.edu/galleries/images/dead_bluejay.jpg
  13. That's interesting, I haven't heard that before. Either way, Coco is not Nomar, and I never said I was counting on this extension putting the FO in a favorable light in Coco's eyes, merely that this increases the chances of that happening.
  14. William Rhoden, and yeah, his points are about as as they get, but he does make me laugh.
  15. He signed for 3/15.5 guaranteed, and arbitration estimates have him making around ~$20M for that time frame. So, he's locked up at a value.
  16. No, they tried to trade him because they had a shot at the best SS in the last.....well, forever.
  17. Do me a favor, kick the phonograph? That "Wait until the sky falls" line has been skipping over and over again for the last 2 months since you joined.
  18. I agree that he isn't needed on the big club right now, but I was just pointing out that it is unnecessary to wonder when he gets called up because he is hurt.
  19. They get Tavares back tomorrow, so they'll have enough arms in the BP to finish out this 13 in 13 stretch. Besides, isn't Choi on the DL too right now?
  20. Jason Whitlock is his name, and he's pretty pathetic. Off topic, I like Sports Reporters best when it's hosted by Saunders with a panel of Lupica, Ryan, and the skinny dude from Detroit. What's his name? EDIT: Epiphany, it just hit me. Mitch Albom.
  21. Rudy pitched well. That's good for something going forward.
  22. whilliey wiffmaster moh mite hit teh ballx hard erlyr, but his not teh cluthc hit makr!!!ONE!!! lolslwonlosl
  23. Adam Dunn wants in on this topic too. EDIT: And Sexson.
  24. Is it just me, or would Reed Johnson be a first ballot HOF candidate if he played every game against the Sox? I hate that gnat.
  25. If it's me, I go with one more inning of DiNardo and see what the offense does in the bottom half.
