  1. huh guess what, was just watching the nesn pre-game report, theyre now saying once schilling comes back to the rotation, it could actually be wakefied goin to the bullpen, just about everybody had idea that it would be bronson going, oh well anyway sox just extended wakefield's contract on April 19 (my bday , for another 3 seasons which would end around when hes 40/41, to have hime end his career as a red sox player would be nothing but sweet, even if its as a reliever in the end
  2. capt.pxs10206250058.red_sox__phillies_pxs102.jpg just remember this for today
  3. upset for me if millar doesnt get sox resigned at the end of the year, but im betting its a big chance theyll look to hold onto him as their 1st baseman, sure olerud is a good player he is about to turn 37 this year though, Olerud as backup and pinch hitter is a great fit for the sox. Mueller im thinking 50/50, he as at most 2 years best, think they should start splitting up more of the time between him and youkilis
  4. yeeaa ok dude i think youre just pissed cuz former manager terry francona is leading his team to beat you guys for the first 2 games, outscoring 15 - 1, and out hitting like 24 - 8... yes we show pride in what our team is able to accomplish, nothing wrong with that at all, wait till august comes around then we will have to talk about our 3 time superbowl champions patriots back in play
  5. dont count outon sox pitchers, mentionings of clement and timlin are strong candidates as any to take the mound
  6. nothing wrong with millar, since end of may/june he is has been getting better with hits ans RBI's, only reason hes not playing right now cuz of the interleague games have ortiz at first, they might have him sub in for tro todays game like they did before
  7. oh ok wasnt sure, cuz i just saw sacrsam, period, cool to know he just needs 30 more to get career 300 stolen bases
  8. its not sarcasm i know his stats for the 2005 season, check it yourself
  9. oh yea once curt schilling had gone and at that same time david wells after being roughed up in his first sveral games. i couldnt believe seeing him in toronto givin off 3 straight homeruns. But then he found his groove pitching consecutive shutouts, and then one day after schilling went on the DL, Wells followed him. Must say once one of them goes down, red sox players and staff go out of their way to pick each other up, like how aboot John Halamma starting a game goin 5 strong innings that ended up winning the game. As well as Jeremi Gonzalez, who of course being groomed in pawtucket to be a great starterl.
  10. um hes stolen 7 bases this year
  11. yeah cuz remember teams he has played for before have also lost the playoffs games
  12. true he did make that fateful play that has boston even more booing in him, gettin him ejected as he did that cheating way of slappin the ball out of arroyo's hands. they did better than they are right noe last season, so i think its now a mix of arod's curse and curse of the bambino is lingering around the house that ruth built
  13. he also steals bases something Damon does not do ??? damon does not steal bases, what are you talkin about
  14. ok i was just checking stats but seriously hes got to get somethin done, hardly likely we will see him in sox uniform in 2006, but at least be productive to get offers from teams. do you know during sox's hot streak since beating the cubs on the 12th--ok now thats thru 11 games, 39 at bats, and just 3 hits??! and havin 10 strikeouts, so basically once a game is his average and now up to 83. he is a great defensive player, dont get me wrong now. but even fox announcers were talkin about possibilities of what to do with 2nd base, movin mueller or youkilis to there
  15. dont think mantei and embree will go to minors, think its just better for sox to trade them off from some new relievers or prospects in the minor leagues at least
  16. yankees series at fenway will actually eb a 4 game stretch
  17. haha make that 10 - 2 goin into the 9th inning--but come monday who else besides me will be in a conundrum of who the better team to win, when yankees start facin off against the orioles? haha
  18. i do believe that by our boys beatin the yanks in such dramatic fashion 4 games in a row with the longest baseball games ive had to watch in my lifetime thus far, then goin to sweep the cardinals that in fact the curse has drifted over to the team the sox really had to beat to get the big win. Like in The Grudge, curses never die. well think about it, they have a $200 million roster and the board that decides what teams they have to face, just handed over to them leniant teams at best in the first half like the royals, brewers, facing off tampa bay 8 times, and big portion are home games. And now theyre sliding to 4th place. This time last year red sox was in second place behind the yankees 6.5 games. These hot prospect pitchers they signed in december are performing sub-par than they did last season. And mets are about to give the yanks their 4th straight loss. Thats just my take on it tho...
  19. 8-2 , 2 men on and no outs--i dont know what theyre saying about the rookie pitcher for ny Sean Henn, hes doing a good job for us, i think that would be a 4 game losing streak and close to putting ny 6 1/2 games behind us, i will be rootin for tonotos's game tonite, only that if they win against the strong nationals, the yanks will drop to .500 mark and fall to 4th place
  20. yesss go andruw jones who was banged up early in the game, it appeared he hurt his wrist. but he stayed in the game for a reason i believe. In the 9th inning he was first batter up in a tied game, and hit the walkoff homer sox got lil breathin room now as 1 1/2 games ahead now of baltimore, jeez got goosbumps with the fox announcers praising the sox and talkin about playoff chances
  21. ramon vzquez should be another option to be traded off, not much of a strong backup as of late. maybe by doin that they can by august upgrade hanley ramirez or dustin pedroia to be slotted as the new 2B/SS backup, not too shabby
  22. you yanks have a checkbook thinkin it can buy heart and character, nice job of gettin mussina for what $40 million, was it?
  23. lets see, just check the standings here... huh it says here the red hot sox have won 10 out of the last 11 games and now move into 1st place, didnt see that coming, yankees who just several days ago were 3 games behind, now 5 1/2 games behind us. I know I take pride wearing my sox hat every day of the year cuz this team does have heart and character
  24. niice im so excited now i was reading the story about schilling on redsox.com, it shows a picture on the right hand side of schilling, caption reading if all goes well he could eb back up on the mound for the sox against the orioles in camden yards on july 9th or 10th
