  1. and you are serviceable as me hitting the ignore button
  2. Riight so Olerud, a player who right now in his age is best for playing as a backup with his bad legs, and Petagine who has total 11 career homeruns would easily take over for what Ortiz has done. get a clue
  3. today varitek shouldve been given the day off, he just looks tired now with his hitting. I would think Mirabelli get the start today, considering also against Towers he is 4 for 6 with a HR. coming into tonight's game Varitek was 0 for 7. I just hope Papa Jack can really help Tek

  17. my keboard is acting funny, jeez dude----id still like some insight on how you got from my post me asking why Olerud didnt pinch hit, how did you even get from that I am a Francona hater and dont respect him for all that he has done for Red Sox Nation?

  19. damn dude i wasnt questioning francona's decisions, crespo blows i think you forgot to take your valium. way you are disagreeing with all of us, i smell a yankee fan, always kiss their asses and agree with whatever they say anyway--by the way sox can at anytime have a blowout of an inning, this has been proven, 37 times this season the sox have scored 5 runs or more in one inning. yes go back to my post where its about hansen not being called up, why would i blame him for being hurt, hes a rookie who hasnt had so much innings as he is now. I do hope that he gets better, and if not this season, join the team for 06. I just bring up who shouldve pinch hit and why Olerud didnt play today, and you are the one who's throwing a hissy fit.
  20. last season the trio of great relievers Sox had were Foulke, Timlin and Embree--I believe this playoffs season a trio of Timlin, Papelbon and Hansen could be great stability. With Bradford and Myers doing their lefty/righty relief positions. bronson and gonzalez doing the long relief, so far I havent seen just cause for foulke to stay on board in the playoffs
  21. Its becoming evident to me, and Im sure a number of people that several players in the offense have for some reason been in a slump this key pennant push. Something Papa Jack needs to notice and get them swinging correctly right away... (updated September 16) September Stats, Cause for Concern Doug Mirabelli- 1 for 10 (.100 avg) Double, 1 Run, 4 Ks Jason Varitek- 6 for 44 (.136 avg) Double, 3 RBIs, 3 Runs, 6 Walks, 14 Ks Edgar Renterria- 10 for 57 (.175 avg) 2 Doubles, 6 RBIs, 6 Runs, 2 Walks, 13 Ks Kevin Youkilis- 2 for 11 (.182 avg) Double, 3 Walks, 4 Ks Trot Nixon- 8 for 42 (.190 avg) 2 Doubles, 4 RBIs, 3 Runs, 7 Walks, 7 Ks Alex Cora- 2 for 11 (.182 avg) Triple, RBI, 4 Runs, 3 Walks, K Getting There Bill Mueller- 12 for 49 (.245 avg) 2 Doubles, 4 Runs, 6 Walks, 7 Ks Manny Ramirez- 13 for 53 (.245 avg) Double, 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, 6 Runs, 3 Walks, 8 Ks Carrying the Team Tony Graffanino- 13 for 43 (.302 avg) Double, Triple, 2 HRs, 5 RBIs, 7 Runs, 7 Ks Kevin Millar- 12 for 34 (.353 avg) 5 Doubles, 2 HRs, 5 RBIs, 5 Runs, 1 Walk, 7 Ks John Olerud- 9 for 30 (.300 avg) Double, 4 HRs, 10 RBIs, 6 Runs, 3 Walks, 4 Ks Johnny Damon- 11 for 37 (.297 avg) 2 Doubles, 6 RBIs, 4 Runs, 3 Walks, 4 Ks David Ortiz- 15 for 47 (.319 avg) 6 HRs, 13 RBIs, 9 Runs, 13 Walks, 7 Ks
  22. just one quick question, what happened to the platooning of Millar and Olerud, becuase now we are seeing Youk get playing time at 1st bae. It made me scratch my head even more, when Petagine (not Olerud) had come on board to pinch hit for Youkilis
  23. Foulke came into the 7th inning right off which wasnt an impossible situation, he did just poorly throwing 27 pitches (11 were just for strikes) and he turned a manageable 3 run game into a 5 run deficit. He let 5 straight batters get on base by walk, single, walk, single, hit batter. At this point Id much rather have Papelbon have more playing time than Foulke
