  1. still when you are a defensive replacement in the late innings, batting stats shouldnt count. if the game is quickly out of hand, or a big lead they need solid D players, Cano just recently made another error.
  2. well we werent getting anything from him really and I was very much expecting this, hopefully he can regain his 2004 self for the 2006 season. If not try to deal him in the trade months of July. I heard Foulke had this long meeting with Tito and Wallace in Tito's office, i knew something was up...
  3. free agent outfielders this season will be: Left Field: Reggie Sanders, Eli Marrero, John Mabry, B.J. Trot's my boy
  4. whats really got to (mind my language) f***ing stop is these careless plays by Manny. In April I can let go a jog to 1st base. But to do that when you're team just has 11 games left and holds a .5 game lead is inexcusable. Kazmir had lost the ball and with hustle Manny couldnt gotten to 1st base safely or at least a close call, Kazmir had thrown the ball high which Lee had to jump up off the base to get it. Even Lee was surprised when he came down that Manny was still like 5, 6 feet from getting there. Who knows if they wouldve been able to score some runs in that 1st inning. dont even get me started on how a lot of times balls will just go by him in the outfield, 8th inning *cough*

  6. Johnson vs Schilling for Game 2 will be the nationally televised game on Fox
  7. every game is a must win from here and out
  8. Note: you do know Piniella has a tendency to leave his starters and bullpen pithcers in for too long, dont you???
  9. not a hangover as Boston Globe has just reported this
  10. as indicated on nesn, speculations are abound that wells has been pitching on a bad knee, he might need a cortizone shot
  11. NFL WEEK 3 PICKS Atlanta vs Buffalo Cincinnati vs Chicago Jacksonville vs NY Jets Oakland vs Phildaelphia Tennesse vs St. Louis Carolina vs Miami Cleveland vs Indianapolis New Orleans vs Minnesota Tampa Bay vs Green Bay Dallas vs San Francisco Arizona vs Seattle New England vs Pittsburgh- ( i can dream right? :dunno: ) NY Giants vs San Diego Kansas City vs Denver
  12. how come he hasnt played since sept 9? thats two weeks of bench-warming
  13. i post what i want, tito is in the same boat as torre if his job is on the line if sox dont make the playoffs
  14. god he played through his pain because he had pride he didnt want to tell anyone which means hed end up missing time, i wasnt f***ing praising him
  15. from foxsports, talking about how Lou Piniella is leaving the D-Rays and what teams will need a manager come spring training 2006. guess what team they mention also? Might Tito be in same boat that Torre is in? but still > i wouldnt ever want Piniella as the manager of the Sox
  16. well dude i didnt know what you fully meant until you started to name off players and such never trust a cuban defector
  17. that is true, baseball players have the biggest pride (IMO Johnny Damon, Keith Foulke, Mat Mantei, Wade Miller) who play through pain instead because tehy dont want to miss out on anything and help their team
  18. why not have optimism instead of thinking this kid will falter? The A's Huston Street is younger than Hansen and look at what he is doing right now
  19. well thats not a racist comment
  20. dude cmon this is just sad, going back and reading through all of the past posts and responding to them
  21. yanks had the 1/2 game lead before, 10 games left and anything can happen
  22. Wakefield hands down has been our ace. He still leads in wins, lowest ERA, strikeouts, innings pitched, etc... if not for lack of run support and among other things he could be on his way to being a 20 game winner. lets just say sox get their s*** together and take the al east or wild card title, Wakefield should be the Game 1 starter
  23. true just gotta go look toward the next game, this time have dave wallace handle the bullpen decisions not tito. yanks had the 1/2 game lead for a day in July, but Sox overtook it the next day. im not saying outright sox will win the rest of the games easily, in baseball anything can happen like with what happened tonight...
  24. Timlin has let 18 of 32 inherited runners to score (56% clip) highest in majors, pitcher vs batter stats dont count here, that percentage should say enough to not let him in
