  1. 106 pitches Kazmir about to throw 1 hitter complete game shutout Manny, Varitek and Lowell are a combined 9 for 52 (.175 avg) Double, 2 HRs, 3 RBIs, 6 Walks, 15 Ks
  2. I dismissed the Yankees' acquisition of Ron Villone, thinking he would be Alan Embree of 05 for them. Quite the opposite as he has become the 2nd best reliever. If not for Farnsworth's ridiculous contract, Villone would be the perfect guy to be the 8th inning guy for Mariano
  3. This of course sounds like a hog wash of a trade rumor, but for whatever reason, mlbtraderumors.com is sticking by their source
  4. Here we go, ESPN giving Arod excuses for playing bad defense this season Joe Morgan "A big part is probably because he reverted from the shortstop position" He's been there since 2004 season. And he has already eclipsed error totals of 04 & 05
  5. The Yankees released Erubiel Durazo, who was hitting .290 with 2 Hrs & 10 RBIs in Columbus. His bat I would love to have off of the bench http://www.columbusdispatch.com/clippers/clippers.php?story=dispatch/2006/07/02/20060702-E6-02.html
  6. Sorry if I dont word my posts just right for you. Loretta ranks top fielding % for a 2nd baseman while comitting just 3 errors, Ca No-No is up to 7 errors Cano has just 1 more HR than Loretta Loretta has a 7 RBI edge over Cano Besides, Cano wouldnt have made the All-Star game with his injury. Im not a fan who votes for every single player on their team, but yes I happily voted for Loretta
  7. Terry its a close game as it is and the 2 baserunners you signal to steal a base are... Trot & Manny
  8. He'll get the White Sox next time out. If his command is anything like it is today, he's gonna get pummeled by that lineup
  9. That is right   Very deserving of a comeback year thus far has been reward to the under the radar player. He has passed Robinson Cano to be the starting 2nd baseman
  10. Its setting up to be one of those rare rookie pitcher duels
  11. haha yea my bad . Ive reached my max until these guys maybe start cropping up in the majors, which of course is a crapshoot
  12. Through his first 2 starts, he is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA 10 innings, 7 Hits, 4 Runs (3 ER), 6 Ks ---------------------------------- EDIT: Thanks NateGrey for the stats on his 3rd game season stats 15 innings, 10 Hits, 5 Runs (4 ER), Walk, 13 Ks
  13. Id like to have something along the lines of this :dunno: http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Globe_Photo/2005/09/02/1125678335_6529.jpg http://us.news3.yimg.com/us.i2.yimg.com/p/ap/20060624/capt.551e19b5b90247f6af6542b1d667bdea.phillies http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A9gnMiXL1KZEf3gAfXGjzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTA4NDgyNWN0BHNlYwNwcm9m/ Talksox: Followers of the Triple Threat EDIT: Damn I cant get the othe 2 pics up. Basically 3 pic collage of Papelbon, Beckett and Lester pumping their fists
  14. Id rather include Hansen in a trade for Dontrelle than Smoltz. Smoltz is a great pitcher dont get me wrong. But its more enticing to trade Hansen for a pitcher who could be a stablemate in your rotation than a pitcher who has 1 or 2 good seasons left in him.
  15. I wasnt too happy about the Alex Gonzalez signing --I was focusing too much on his low avg he's had in his past --I never really watched him on a consistent basis before this season Get him resigned this offseason, please Theo. ------------------------------- I thought Clement & Foulke would collect their bearings ------------------------------- J.T. Snow would be a solid backup ------------------------------- Julian Tavarez would be the perfect guy to fill in the 7trh inning I'm happy being right about Schilling, Lowell and Loretta making solid comebacks this season for the Sox. And that Lester would make the vacant rotation spot his own when he came up to Boston.
  16. EDIT: Manny's next hit will be the 2000th of his career
  17. We only need 1 more starter because Lester is here to stay as he has solidified the #4 spot as his own. Clement has yet to show he's worth here even as a #5 starter. His rehab might be going good but that doesnt mean he's all there together mentally. Think back to the times when he lets runners get past 1st base. Shoulders hunch over and he just loses it ---------------------------------------------------------- He'll get the D-Rays next time out... 6+ ERA vs Tampa Bay 7+ ERA @ Tropicana Field
  18. Thanks Jason Johnson you sack of s***
  19. Its more or less this hack who has messed up the mojo. Even if a loss, which is very possible, it wont hurt the Sox. His short career as a Red Sox has already come to an end and Im just hoping to see by tonight: Jason Johnson Designated for Assignment Kyle Snyder called up from Pawtucket
  20. We will see Julian Tavarez/Rudy Seanez soon enough
  21. He's a stop gap pitcher, nothing more. The Marlins are beating Jason Johnson, not the Sox. Id like to see Jeff Weaver or call up Kyle Snyder
  22. Schilling, Beckett, Lester, and Wakefield... now thats a playoff rotation. Ahem is it now 15 straight games our starters have held teams to 3 runs or less?
